EASTER NEWSLETTER-APRIL 2021 Welcome to the Easter CU Newsletter!

You will have received your Children’s University ‘Passport to Learning’ and we wanted you to have the opportunity to collect some credits over the school holidays. As more organisations open their doors, we will have lots more opportunities coming your way but for now, have a look at what you can do for the next two weeks. Good luck everyone!

LAGER Can (Litter Action Group for Ealing Residents) works in partnership with Ealing Council, businesses, schools, and other organisations to remove rubbish from our open spaces and improve our environment for everyone to enjoy. It was started by a group of local volunteers who are committed to making Ealing cleaner, greener and safer. LAGER Can have identified as an area that needs some help with litter. They have arranged for some litter picking sessions to take place near your schools over the Easter Holidays. If you would like to join in, please make sure you bring a parent/carer with you and meet at your school gate at 10am on your allocated day. Gifford-Saturday 3 April, Gracie/Eva Petts Hill -Wednesday 10 April, Kally & Andrew Greenwood- Saturday 10 April ,Sue, Stef & Cathy Viking- Thursday 15 April, Bob, Keith, Sandy

Please see message from Cathy Swift …. "My name is Cathy and I'm one of the administrators for the Litter Action Group for Ealing Residents, or LAGER Can. We are looking forward to hosting your Children's University litter picking events over Easter. Each event will be hosted by at least two experienced LAGER Can members. For each event we will bring 30 litter pickers, 20 pairs of children's gardening gloves, some LAGER Can hi- visibility vests and lots of rubbish bags. It is important that each child who attends is accompanied by a parent or carer. Depending on the number of children who turn up, we expect we will have enough equipment for each child to have a picker, gloves, or both. If anyone has a picker and gloves it would be great if you could bring them. We're really looking forward to help you earn a credit towards your Children's University passport!’
