Proposed Cypress Road Sidewalk Improvement Project Virtual Community Meeting May 25, 2021 Proposed Cypress Road Sidewalk Improvement Project Project Location Project Objectives Scope of Work Funding Community Public Outreach and Feedback 2 Project Location North side of Cypress Road from NW 65th Avenue to North Fig Tree 3 Project Objective The objective of the project is to enhance the pedestrian traffic connectivity from the residential developments abutting Cypress Road from NW 65th Avenue to North Fig Tree Lane and to allow local residents to access different city parks, schools, and shopping plazas on foot or bicycle. 4 Scope of Work Five (5) foot concrete sidewalk ADA compatible curb ramps at intersections Detectable warning surfaces New crosswalk stripping Drainage modifications, pedestrian lighting and landscaping modifications will be provided as necessary 5 Scope of Work 6 Project Potential Impacts Landscaping and Irrigation modification Swale Regrading 7 Project Funding The City has submitted an application for funding from the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (“MPO”) Complete Streets and Other Localized Initiatives Program (“CSLIP”) Cycle 5 for this sidewalk improvement project. 8 Community Public Outreach and Feedback In an effort to engage community and get their feedback regarding this plan, the City is seeking your input.
