Nice book, but...By RJSAfter seeing some of Craig's work online I just had to order this book. Its a first class production with beautiful print paper quality. The fold-outs work nicely to show detail that might've been missed if the paintings were confined to a 2 page spread. The art itself is good, but I only saw 3 or 4 images that I would call great. There are lots of loose sketches that most college art students could've done in a figure drawing class. I suppose I'm just disappointed that there weren't more finished paintings in the book. Overall it was a little light on content, especially for the price.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Beautiful work will leave you wanting moreBy Parka[[VIDEOID:mo10QH3BTVNQBLY]]The Art of Craig Elliot is a beautiful collection of paintings focused on the female form by the artist. While Craig Elliot works as a layout and visual development artist for the entertainment industry, the works featured in this books are his personal ones. The female subjects are evocative, sexy and beautiful. There's a trace of fantasy element to them. One painting is of a dead dragon collapsed in beautiful orange bed of leaves with the ladies around. Others are figure drawings of playful girls in nature. Those are toned sketches. The book's a mixture of painted works and sketches. There's commentary throughout, including an introduction by Iain McCaig and a essay of Craig Elliot's career by John Fleskes. The artworks are great, well reproduced in the book with wonderful detail. There are only 68 pages so that certainly will leave you wanting more.(Check out more pictures of the book on my blog. Just visit my profile for the link.)
