Below are the four representatives from the women’s soccer are currently in the Hall of Fame: Michelle Akers, Amy Allmann, Karen Richter and Jim Rudy.

Michelle Akers Jim Rudy Women’s Soccer Soccer Coach 1984, 86-88 1975-87 Class of 1998 Class of 2001

Michelle Akers, regarded by many as the best female soccer Jim Rudy coached the men’s soccer team from 1975-87 and player in the world during her career, was a four-time All-America the women’s team from 1981-87. He started the women’s soccer selection at UCF. She was the recipient of the fi rst Hermann Award program and led it to four post-season appearances in seven years for women in 1988, soccer’s version of the Heisman Trophy. She and a 73-22-6 overall record. His teams advanced to the Final Four led UCF to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a berth of the NCAA Tournament twice, including an appearance in the fi rst in the Final Four in 1987. She went on to play professionally in NCAA championship game in 1982. His 1981 squad fi nished runner Sweden after graduation and was a long-time member of the U.S. up in the AIAW, the forerunner to the NCAA. He coached nine All- National Team. In 1991 she led the U.S. to its fi rst Women’s World Americans, including UCF Athletics Hall Fame inductees Michelle Cup Championship, earning the Golden Boot as the tournament’s Akers and Amy Allmann. He fi nished his career as the winningest leading scorer. She was also a vital part of the medal-winning coach in history of UCF’s men’s soccer program with a 129-58-18 U.S. National squad in the Olympics in 1996 and the World Cup record and two NCAA Tournament appearances. He coached three team in 1999. In 1999, she was also named the FIFA Women’s All-Americans on the men’s side, including UCF Athletics Hall of Player of the Century. Fame inductee Winston DuBose.

Amy Allmann was a starting goalkeeper during her career at Karen Richter played from 1987-90, earning adidas/ISAA and UCF, which culminated with her being named NCAA Goalkeeper of NCAA Goalkeeper of the Year honors in 1990. In 1989, she was the Year in 1987. The same year she helped UCF reach the Final named to the Soccer America MVP Team and the adidas scholar- Four. A versatile athlete, Allmann also competed in cross-country athlete team in 1989 and 1990. She set the school record for lowest and rowing while at UCF. She went on to compete for the U.S. career goals-against average (0.59), lowest single-season goals- National Team that won the Women’s World Cup in 1991. against average (0.25) and career shutouts (30.5). As a junior she led the team to an 11-1-2 record and allowed only four goals in 14 games.
