Greetings Ward 13 residents, As the novelist John Steinbeck once said, “What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.” I hope everyone is basking in the sweetness of summertime Cleveland, enjoying backyard barbeques, outdoor sports and good old summer fun. Major Improvements to Loew Park

Here is an artist’s rendition of a regulation-size soccer field to be built at Loew Park in Old Brooklyn. The all-season turf field will have grandstands that can hold up to 750 people. The $3.5 million project, which includes major upgrades of the park, is scheduled to be completed by 2020. Aside from the soccer field, the park will see new trees, playground equipment, baseball diamonds and underground engineering to eliminate flooding and standing water.
