Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements in for Ching Ming Festival 2016

Notice is hereby given that the following traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in the vicinity of the Tsuen Wan Chinese Permanent Cemetery and Crematorium on 26, 27 March 2016 and 3, 4, 10 April 2016 for the Ching Ming Festival 2016 :

(a) Wing Tak Street (southbound), Wing Yin Street and the section of Wing Shun Street between Wing Tak Street and Kwai Hei Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except for hearses, franchised buses and emergency vehicles) from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm on the above-mentioned dates and on any other dates if traffic situation so requires.

(b) The section of Wing Kei Road between Kwai Hei Street and Wing Kin Road will be converted into one-way southbound. Vehicles will only be allowed to enter Wing Kei Road from Wing Kin Road.

(c) Wing Chong Street, Wing Hau Street and Wing Lap Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic (except for emergency vehicles).

(d) Temporary taxi stands will be provided at the following locations: (i) Wing Kin Road near its junction with Wing Kei Road; (ii) Kwai Hei Street near its junction with Wing Shun Street; (iii) Wing Shun Street near its junction with Wing Yin Street; and (iv) Wing Shun Street near its junction with Yi Lok Street.

In addition, Wing Yin Street and Wing Hau Street will be also closed to all vehicular traffic (except for hearses, franchised buses and emergency vehicles) from 7.00 am to 5.00 pm on 20, 25, 28 March 2016 and 2, 9, 16, 17 April 2016.

The following special transport arrangements will be implemented on 3, 4, 10 April 2016: (a) KMB route no. 38S (MTR Station () - Tsuen Wan Chinese Permanent Cemetery) will be operated from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm at a headway of 3 to 8 minutes daily on 3, 4, 10 April 2016; (b) En-route stop of KMB route no. 30(Cheung Sha Wan bound), 43M(Kwai Fong MTR Station bound), 47X(Chun Shek bound) and 61M ( bound) on Kwai Fuk Road outside The Kwai Tsing Theatre will be temporarily suspended from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm daily on 3, 4, 10 April 2016; (c) KMB route no. 42 ( bound) will be diverted to travel via Kwai Fuk Road (eastbound), roundabout, Kwai Yi Road (northbound), Kwai Foo Road (westbound), Hing Fong Road (southbound), Kwai Fuk Road (eastbound) and then resume its normal routing, the en-route stop on Kwai Fuk Road outside The Kwai Tsing Theatre will be suspended and a temporary en-route stop will be provided on Hing Fong Road outside The from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm daily on 3, 4, 10 April 2016; and (d) En-route stop of NT GMB route no. 91, 93, 93A (Lai King Headland bound) and 404M (Kwai Fong MTR Station) on Kwai Fuk Road outside The Kwai Tsing Theatre will be temporarily suspended from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm daily on 3, 4, 10 April 2016.

Appropriate traffic signs will be provided on-site to guide motorists. Depending on the crowd and traffic conditions in the area, the Police may vary the implementation details of the above traffic and transport arrangements. The public transport services operators will display notices to advise passengers of the above special transport arrangements.

During the festive period, grave-sweepers are advised to use public transport services to Tsuen Wan Chinese Permanent Cemetery and Crematorium. No parking will be permitted on any approachroads in the vicinity of the Cemetery and Crematorium. Any vehicle found parking on these roads will be towed away without prior notice.
