You return via flat quiet lanes to Long Preston Start: Street park in Long Preston and make your way to the Maypole Inn on the Green (use traffic light crossing of A65). Follow the road (School lane) along the village green and take the first left (Green Gate Lane) A: Follow this road as you climb up onto the Moor. After 2.5km the tarmac finishes and you carry on along a gravel track. CUATION in wet weather as track will be muddy and slippy. B: Follow the track for 2km as you crest the hill and start descending. CAUTION on descent .
