INFOCOMM DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF SINGAPORE 10 Pasir Panjang Road, #10-01, Mapletree Business City, Singapore 117438 Tel : 65-62110888 Fax : 65-62112222 www.ida.gov.sg SEPTEMBER 2013 FACTSHEET: Silver Infocomm Initiative The Silver Infocomm Initiative (SII) aims to bridge the digital divide among senior citizens aged 50 and above through addressing differences in educational background, language and infocomm competencies. Launched in November 2007, this six-year programme aims to promote IT awareness and literacy among senior citizens so that they can be actively engaged in the digital age. As of August 2013, under the SII programme, more than 77,000 training places, conducted in Silver Infocomm Junctions (SIJ), Silver Infocomm Day and Inter-generational IT Bootcamps, have been attained since 2007, exceeding the set target of 45,000 by 171%.The following programmes are supported through the $4.2 million budget for SII: 1) Silver Infocomm Day The Silver Infocomm Day (SID) series, an annual event organised by IDA, Institute of Higher Learnings (IHLs), industry partners and the community, is aimed at educating senior citizens on the latest in infocomm lifestyle trends and products. It is a 3-in-1 event which consists of hands-on training workshops, exhibition and talks featuring the latest in infocomm lifestyle trends. The first SID in 2007 saw 360 participants. Since 2007, more than 20,000 senior citizens had attended the 3-in-1 event (talks, exhibition and hands-on training) featuring the latest in infocomm lifestyle trends. The last Silver Infocomm Day (SID2012), jointly organised by the IDA, Centre of Activity and Recreation for the Elders (CARE), Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC)@Bukit Panjang, i-Clickz Club, Paya Lebar Kovan Community Club and RSVP Singapore – The Organisation of Senior Volunteers (RSVP Singapore). -

The Committee recommended the adoption of 31 electoral divisions, comprising 14 Single Member Constituencies and 17 Group Representation Constituencies, with a total of 93 Members of Parliament to be returned. Get Your Singpass 2FA by 4 July 2016 Citizens Are Reminded to Activate
ANNEX C Digitalisation efforts Important reminder – Get your SingPass 2FA by 4 July 2016 Citizens are reminded to activate their SingPass 2-Step Verification (2FA) by 4 July 2016, so that they can continue to transact safely online and without any disruption. All Singaporeans who have used SingPass to log in to government e-services at least once in the last one year since 5 July 2015, and have registered their mobile number with SingPass, should have received a PIN mailer to allow them to activate their SingPass 2FA via SMS. From 5 July 2016 onwards, if they have not activated their SingPass 2FA, they will not be able to log in to the GSTV website, or perform other sensitive government e-services, such as filing tax with IRAS and accessing CPF statements. They will have to first register and activate their SingPass 2FA at www.singpass.gov.sg. 2FA activation can take up to seven working days. Majority of eligible recipients will automatically receive the GSTV Recipients need not worry if they do not have SingPass to log in to the GSTV website to view their benefits. Most Singaporeans will automatically receive their GSTV payouts and 5- Year Medisave Top-Ups as they had signed up for past government payouts. For the small number of citizens who have not signed up for past government payouts and/or are not CPF members, the letters they receive will inform them of the actions they need to take by 31 December 2016. CitizenConnect Centres Singaporeans without computer or internet access can visit any of the following CitizenConnect Centres (CCCs) around Singapore to get assistance to access the GSTV website to view their benefits, update their contact details and payment modes. -
