UGANDA INFO SHEET Flood Response Coordination May 29, 2020 Date: 29 May 2020 OVERVIEW • The sources of information: ACODEV, CAFOMI, Caritas Tororo, CRS, KDLG, Save the Children, UN Women, UNICEF, URC • As of May 28, 2020, Fifty-three (53) districts affected by the flash flood, the rise of water level of the three lakes and other water bodies, and landslide • A total of 704,775 people in 151,990 households reported being affected by the disaster and its consequences • 62,410 people in 12,462 families displaced from their home • 2,896 of the affected population reported being people with special need • Kasese is the most affected district, comprising 58% (409,735 people) • Bundibujo, Bududa and , the next most affected districts each with more than 30K affected people • The number of affected people in Notoko and Nakatpriprit each have more than 20K affected communities.
