The Magical quest starring Mickey no Magical Adventure in Japan is a Mickey Mouse video game released in 1992 for the Super Nintendo entertainment system. It was the first of three magical quest games made by Capcom. The game was followed by The Great Circus Mystery starring Mickey and Minnie and Disney's Magic Quest 3 starring Mickey and Donald. The game was remade for Game Boy Advance in 2002 under the name Disney's Magical quest starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Published by Nintendo, the GBA version adds Minnie to the game as a playable character that is identical to Mickey in terms of gameplay. The GBA port also introduced a save feature and a character selection screen similar to SNES's version of The Great Circus Mystery. The contents of the show Plot Game features Mickey Mouse (or Minnie, in the GBA version) traveling through alien land, which is ruled by the evil Emperor after he dognaps . After an incident where during a game catch, Mickey throws the ball too far, causing Pluto to chase the ball. Goofy offers to find Pluto and begins the search for the missing dog. Mickey initially trusts his friend to find Pluto, but his anxiety encourages him to take up the task on his own. Soon after, Mickey escapes from a cliff and falls into a fantastic land of magic. With the help of the wizard Mickey goes to the aid of his friend and stops the tyranny of Pete. Defeating the oppressive emperor and his henchmen, Mickey manages to save Pluto. Eventually, Mickey wakes up in bed with the whole magical quest, being a dream. Donald greets Mickey in his bedroom window and says he found the ball that went missing, asking them to play another catch game (implying that Mickey ended up getting knocked out during their previous game). Gameplay Unlike its sequels, the first game in the series has no ability to save or download progress (which means that players would have to beat the game in one squat). And while it supports two players, they can't play at the same time. The player gets control only when the other dies. Mickey's outfits in this game include: a magician outfit that allows him to shoot magic; a fire form that allows him to constantly spray water; and climbing gear that gives him a hook that can attach to certain surfaces and When wearing a magician or firefighter's outfits, Mickey's magic and aquatic ability ability and must be recharged by collecting magic lamps and fire hydrants. Levels there are six worlds, with 3 or 4 levels in them. In the last level of each world there is a boss who is always a giant animal or artifact that is fascinated by the magic of Emperor Pete, (except for the last world, where Emperor Pete is at war). Some worlds also have mini-bosses who are Pete's henchmen with different abilities. Treetops House - The first world begins in a canopy of serene and sunny forest. At the top grow magic tomatoes, which the player can use smaller ones to fly, and ride on top of the larger ones. As the level progresses, the installation goes from the canopy to the forest floor, where there is a water pool. Enemies are weak and easy to kill: there are ladybugs, bees, Pita soldiers and in level 1-3 there are also some hostile frogs, beavers and starfish. In level 1-2, the bat is fought like a mini-boss who attacks, swoops and spawns fewer bats. By the end of level 1-4, the player must fight the giant snake to progress to the next world. Dark Forest - The Second World is a deeper part of the forest that is much darker and darker than the forest used to be. The player receives a Magician costume from the master before entering, and gets the right to throw magic. In this world there are new enemies, such as forest ladybugs, Pete archers and carnivorous plants. The waters of the dark forest are the home of giant fish that immediately kill the player. In level 2-2 there is a flooded hollow tree, where the player must swim, wearing a magician's suit, while avoiding the beetles and worms that live there. At the end of this level the mini-boss is a jungle plant man who looks like a bat from the first level, and who attacks by throwing studded seeds. At the end of Level 2-4 there is a boss, a giant spider fascinated by Pete who throws a cobweb to capture the player. Fiery Grotto - Third world is a cave that is filled with fire and magma. In level 3-1 there are some bats and a mini-boss who throws fireballs and creates lava columns, knocking with a hammer. At level 3-2, the player receives fire equipment, and uses it to douse fiery creatures such as live flames and lava bats, although they respawn after a few seconds. At level 3-4 is the boss, a giant fire statue hanging over a lava pit. The player must use rotating platforms next to him to stay away from the lava pit, avoid the boss's fiery attacks, and douse the statue with his firefighter costume. When the statue takes up enough damage, the platforms change direction and rotate faster, making the boss harder to hit. Pete's Peak - This world is a windy mountain inhabited by a giant mother eagle enchanted by Pete. Mickey gets his latest outfit, a climber's suit, and can now use ropes to Common enemies of giant giant chicks There are other Pete soldiers, more powerful and with a shield and the same bee world 1. There are only 3 levels and no mini-bosses. At the end of level 4-3, the giant bird fought. The player must use his climber costume to avoid being blown off the mountain and take the eggs from the bird to use as ammunition to fight back. Frozen plain - frozen, icy world. It has only 3 levels, no mini bosses, and it's a little easier than in other worlds. There are only slopes that the player glides together, with strange hairy creatures to fight. Along the way, there are small blocks of ice that can be used as sleighs for high speed riding. In certain places, the firefighter's suit can be used to create ice platforms. At the end of level 4-3 is the boss, a skating walrus who is fascinated by Pete. The player must avoid his snowball attacks and defeat him by jumping on his head. Pete's Castle - The Last Stage. Emperor Pete's Castle. It is full of enemies and traps and it contains all the previous mini-bosses. At the end of the level, the player encounters Emperor Pete in his throne room. He is very strong and attacks, turning stone blocks and candles into monsters. When it is defeated, Pluto is released and the game ends. The games star Mickey Mouse and, (depending on the version of the game), either Minnie Mouse or Donald Duck, who must defeat Pete. The gameplay is similar among all games in the series: the player must move like in a typical game platform by defeating enemies to either jump on them or grab and throw blocks at them. One of the most notable features of the gameplay of the series is the ability to change the outfits of the characters, which give the characters different special abilities. Other gameplay elements in the series include the ability to expand the player's health meter by collecting special hearts, and shopping for items that use coins that are scattered throughout the game. In six different levels and with four different special power outfits he has Mickey Mouse on his way to find his dog Pluto. The game, and especially its equipment and graphics system, received mostly positive reviews. However, it has been criticized for its relatively short work. The port for Sega Mega Drive was originally planned but was abandoned. The story of Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Goofy and Donald Duck play catch in the park. When Goofy's turn is to throw the ball, he accidentally throws it too far. Pluto escapes in pursuit of the ball and Goofy runs after Pluto, leaving Mickey alone. After a while, Mickey goes in search of his friends, but falls off a cliff in a strange magical land. Later, Mickey meets an old wizard who tells Mickey that Pluto was taken by Emperor Pete. Mickey intends to find his friend and stop the tyranny of Pete. Mickey Mouse Costumes can wear four different types of outfits in the Magic quest starring Mickey Mouse. Some outfits can be updated in general stores scattered throughout the game. Mickey starts with his traditional clothes. This allows him to capture certain objects and objects and spin-throw them. Mickey's second outfit, the wizard outfit, is awarded to him at the beginning of the second level and allows Mickey to shoot magic on his enemies. The size of the magic explosions depends on how long it is charged. However, shooting magic devastates Mickey's magic meter, which is replenished by collecting the magic element of the lamp. In addition, Mickey can breathe underwater and control the magic carpets with a magician outfit. The firefighter form that Mickey finds in the third level allows him to spray a continuous stream of water on the enemies. In addition, water flow can be used to put out fires, push blocks and form icicles. Like a magician's outfit, spraying water with a fire-shaped drains Mickey Water meter, which is replenished by collecting a fire hydrant point. On the fourth level of the game, Goofy gives Mickey a climbing gear that allows Mickey to use a hook to attach to certain objects. He can then lift or swing himself at them. In addition, its hook can be used to capture items. The hook can also be used as an offensive weapon to stun enemies and remove their defense. The remake of Game Boy Advance Game was remade for Game Boy Advance in 2002 with the title Disney's Magical quest starring Mickey and Minnie. It was developed by Capcom and published by Nintendo. In the GBA version, Minnie Mouse was added to the game as a playable character. It is identical in Mickey, though. In addition, four four for one player and multiplayer were added to the remake. Multiplayer mini-games were played with GBA Link cable and only one cartridge was needed to play with another. Remarkably, the GBA port also introduced a conservation feature and can connect to Disney's Magic Mirror starring Mickey Mouse via the Nintendo GameCube-Game Boy Advance cable link. Receiving The Agregion AssessmentAggregatorCorGettings85.50% (SNES) Out of 10 (GBA) Nintendo Power4.1 of 5 (SNES) 15Super Play89% (SNES) – the super-NES version of The Magic quest starring Mickey Mouse was generally well received by critics. Most reviewers praised the details and colorfulness of the graphics and animations in the game, with some reviewers even calling it one of the best graphics in the system to date. Especially the bosses and backgrounds were noted for their graphic appearance. The equipment system was also well received, and many critics thought it added depth to the gameplay. The sound and music received mixed positive ratings, as some thought that the musical loops were too short, and that the sound was not on par with the rest of the game, while some found the music and sound effects very suitable for the Disney cartoon game. Much of the criticism was focused on the complexity of the game. Many reviewers felt that the game was too easy and/or short, mainly due to an unlimited system that allowed the player to play the level of the game to the end, which led to their recommendation of the game only for young children. To counter the relatively low difficulty of the game, some reviewers felt that the game's difficulty level option was an important feature in the game and that it should be set hard to enjoy the game to the fullest. The Super NES version has sold 1.2 million copies worldwide. The game version of Game Boy Advance received mixed positive reviews. Again, most critics liked the game's graphics, although some thought the GBA version had slightly worse graphics than the SNES version. The cropped backgrounds and the smaller view area compared to the SNES version were particularly noted. The length of the game has also been criticized, as in the SNES version. Most critics considered GBA-specific multiplayer mini-games to add little value to the game. Also, the fact that Game Boy Advance consoles should be turned off and the multiplayer game change hasn't been well received. On the other hand, the ability to play a multiplayer game with only one cartridge was highly regarded. The game has Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse trying to figure out why everyone in the circus disappeared, and includes four different types of outfits and six different levels. While the versions of SNES and Genesis/Mega Drive were virtually identical, the GBA re-release in 2003 included some new features. As its predecessor, it received praise for its graphics and equipment system and was criticized for not being sophisticated and short enough. The story of Mickey and Minnie Mouse is a bus ride to the circus on the outskirts of town where they are going to spend the day. When the bus arrives, a little late, Goofy shows up and tells Mickey and Minnie that everyone in the circus tents is gone. Mickey and Minnie are surprised by Goofy's claim, but decided to go to the circus and see it with their own eyes. The circus realizes that their friends Pluto and Donald are gone. Mickey and Minnie have to find out what's going on in the circus. Changes the new feature compared to the previous game is that Minnie is included as a playable character. In one game, the player can play as Mickey or Minnie, but the choice makes no difference to the gameplay, as the difference is only aesthetic. In addition, the game has two players of cooperative gameplay, unlike the previous game, where players had to take turns. Another new feature is the back-up password resolution, allowing the player (s) to continue where they have stopped playing the game. The Great Circus Mystery, starring Mickey and Minnie, has four different costumes. As in the first game of the series, the first costume allows Mickey and Minnie to capture some types of objects, including some enemies, and spin-throw them. The sweeping outfit, which is the second outfit, allows Mickey and Minnie to vacuum some types of enemies with their vacuum cleaner. If the enemy is vacuumed into a vacuum cleaner, the enemy will turn into a coin. Using a vacuum cleaner consumes a battery that can be recharged by collecting an additional battery element. The third outfit, a safari suit, allows Mickey and Minnie to climb vertical walls as well as swinging from special types of circular blocks. The fourth and final outfit, Western attire, includes horse and pop gun. Hobby Horse gives Mickey and Minnie a higher jump and a pop gun allows Mickey and Minnie to hurt enemies by shooting traffic jams at them. Shooting corks will reduce the power meter that can be replenished by collecting machine gun items. In addition, the hobby horse gives Mickey and Minnie the opportunity to make a Desperado dash move that flies them through the air, but drains the power counter a bit. The Game Boy Advance remake of The Great Circus Mystery starring Mickey and Minnie was re-launched in 2003 with the name Disney Magical Quest 2 starring Mickey and Minnie. The password function in the original game has been replaced by the save feature in the remake. No mini-games were added to this version, but two players using GBA cable could play the main adventure. As for the previous game in the series, the light level of sophistication and length of the game was criticized while the colorful graphics, clothing system and music mostly received praise. The new simultaneous gameplay feature was considered one of the strengths of the game. On the other hand, some critics noted that The Great Circus Mystery was very similar to the last game. As for the first game in the series, the game was mainly recommended for young players. The GBA version has been criticized for not pushing the boundaries of the system and providing no additional features other than supporting link cable. Since the SNES version was introduced close to Mickey Mania, another SNES video game starring Mickey Mouse, both games have been compared to each other to a certain extent. On release, Famicom Tsyshin scored a game 26 of 40. The next generation reviewed the Genesis version, rated two stars out of five, and stated that compared to Sony's Mickey Mania Imagesoft, The Great Circus Mystery is just a big disappointment. It was later re-released on the Game Boy Advance version, which was the first version of the game released outside Japan. In Disney Magical Quest 3 starring Mickey and Donald, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck try to save Donald's nephews from King Pete. It has four outfits and seven levels. Unlike the previous two games in the series, the outfit now behaves differently depending on whether Mickey or Donald wears it. The story of hiding in the attic from his uncle Donald Duck, donald's triplets nephews Huey, Dewey and Louis, discover an old book. The book, which turns out to be magical, transports triplets to the land of Storybook. In Storybook land Huey, Dewey and Louis are captured by King Pete, who plans to take over the real world. Mickey and Donald told what happened to the Fairy Earth Storybook and so decides to enter the book to find the duckling brothers and stop the evil Pete once again. The changes in the game are mostly similar to Disney's Magic Quest 2, but with some new features. There is a function of saving the cartridge instead of the password system in the previous game. Also, some of Mickey and Donald's outfits of the same type has different strengths and weaknesses. Finding secret doors scattered on the levels, you can find bonus rooms. This allows the player to choose a playing card, and if the assumption is correct, the reward is awarded to the player. The Game Boy Advance version allows two players to play together with the GBA cable together, as well as in some competitive mini-games. As mentioned earlier, some outfits for Mickey and Donald are different from each other. Some outfits can be upgraded in general stores found in the game. As in the other two games in the series, the first outfit allows Mickey and Donald to capture certain enemies and blocks and spin-throw them. Mickey's second suit is a medieval-style knight's armor, including a shield and a spear. Due to its weight, the armor easily sinks in the water, but the shield can protect Mickey from attacks and spears that can hit in different directions. Donald uses a wooden barrel as armor, a metal helmet bowl and a hammer for weapons. The barrel floats in the water, and allows Donald the duck to shelter and ride, and can also be used as a platform for Mickey to climb on when in 2 player mode. His hammer attacks in an arc. In both costumes there was a bar that eventually filled up. The strength of the attack (glove or hammer) depends on how much the bar is filled. The third is a lumberjack's suit of climbing equipment. It can be used to catch enemies and throw them and, of course, climb trees. The fourth and final costume is a magician's suit. This allows Mickey and Donald to perform magic tricks that allow them to find secret areas and avoid traps. The Donald's suit that has him holding The lamp, can cause a hand that can be used as a platform for Mickey to climb on when in 2 player mode.
