JULIAN MANGRAVITI CROWNED FOX FANS LEAGUE CHAMPION

Representing Sydney FC, Julian Mangraviti took out the first inaugural FOX FANS LEAGUE Grand Final, held at Federation Square on Wednesday April 29.

Broadcast LIVE on , Mangraviti beat eight national finalists and a raft of celebrity wildcards playing EA SPORTS™ FIFA 15 ULTIMATE TEAM on PlayStation®4 to take out the title.

Mangraviti went head to head with a number of famous faces including AFL stars Gary Ablett ( Captain) and Scott Pendlebury (Collingwood Football Club Captain), Channel [V] Presenter Danny Clayton, five-eighth, Jamie Soward, Victory forward , and FIFA 15 YouTuber, Sam Mort.

Julian took down Soward in the Semi Final, before defeating one of Australia’s best FIFA 15 players in the Grand Final, Mort, 3 – 0.

Mangraviti said: “I was nervous heading into the Grand Final because Sam Mort is an amazing FIFA 15 gamer. I just put my head down, focussed as much as possible and tried to beat the odds. I went on the attack and after I put a few goals on him I built some momentum. It paid off – I can’t believe I’m the first Fox Fans League Champion!”

Earlier in the day, Gary Ablett defeated Scott Pendlebury 1 - 0 in the opening round, before losing to Soward in the Quarter Final.

The FOX SPORTS football team were on hand to deliver Australia’s first ever LIVE broadcast of a video game contest, with commentary from and Andy Harper, hosting duties from Mark Bosnich and Adam Peacock while Tara Rushton delivered all the action on the ground with the competitors.

Mangraviti has won tickets to the Hyundai A-League grand final on May 17 2015, with flights and accommodation, a ‘behind-the-scenes’ grand final experience plus a 20 year anniversary PlayStation®4 console complete with a selection of EA SPORTS™ PlayStation®4 games.
