A B S T R A C T

The present preliminary study is on Coleopteran of Sindhudurg district, in which K e y w o r d s five major localities were selected viz. , Amboli, , Kudal and Coleoptera, . The present study, includes 59 beetle species (Cicindellidae, Carabidae, Sindhudurg, Dytiscidae, Gyrinidae, Hydrophilidae, Histeridae, Lampyridae, Elateridae, Fauna Coccinellidae, Meloidae, Tenebrionidae, Bostrichidae, Scarabaeidae, Cerambycidae, Chrysomelidae, Curculionidae and Bruchidae) belonging to 48 genera and 17 families recorded from Sindhudurg district.

Introduction
