Any feedback about Events the Newsletter would be greatly appreciated. Mouthguards Cheers Must be worn during Aik Ho – Operations Manager all games. Have you got your mouthguard? Preparing to WIN! As we prepare to support our NZ Breakers in the ANBL playoffs, we start to look at how the Breakers have put themselves in this great position after an average 2014 season. Dean and his team have done a great job in evaluating the last season and working on their weaknesses to ensure they have a chance to make the playoffs and win this season. Acquiring the right roster is always a key. Breakers were lucky to secure the services of MVP point guard Cedric Jackson for another go at the ANBL title run. Having the best talent does not equate to championships. Players on the team must be willing to accept their roles in order for their team to win consistently. Once everyone understands and accepts their roles while continuing to develop their skills to ensure they maximising their opportunity when the time comes to get on the court. Like the NZ Breakers, they have a very deep bench which also makes it tough to get on the playing roster. If you do not get to play in games, you must ensure you work even harder at trainings so the coaching staff appreciates the commitment and your desire to get some playing time when it comes eventually. Let’s Go Breakers!!!!!

Technology This month’s technology features the same technology All Star Shooter Stephen Curry uses to develop his shooting to be one of the most consistent and accurate in NBA history. Check out the 94Fifty system. http://shop.94fifty.com/ Women’s Game….

Inline with the National Standard we the referees at WWABI will apply the advantage/disadvantage rule to keep the game flowing and allow the opportunity to score.

 When applying the Advantage/Disadvantage Rule the Referee is sometime mistaken for not seeing the Violation or Foul but this may not be the case.

The Referee will take into account :  1. Has the ball possession changed due to the Foul/ violation ?  2. Does the Team with possession have the opportunity to score ?  3. Has the Foul/Violation impacted the game in anyway ?

 Of course in a Close/Tight game or for Tactical Fouls the Advantage/Disadvantage rules may not apply.
