ANDY: How Did CN/Toonami Learn About Big O to Begin Looking Into Airing It?
ANDY: How did CN/Toonami learn about Big O to begin looking into airing it? DEMARCO: A friend of ours at Bandai America, a man named Ken Iyadomi, sent us a tape of just the opening song and animation. We were immediately like “WHAT IS THIS AND HOW DO WE GET IT ON TOONAMI.” At that point, the show had not yet premiered in Japan. Why was Big O chosen to air on Toonami? What made it special? What drew you or your team to it, especially since it had failed in Japan and was cancelled— cancelled on a cliffhanger, of all things, too? Most of the Toonami team are people that grew up on giant robot/tokusatsu shows like Voltron, Ultraman, Gaiking, etc, so we were already primed to love the design of Big O. Combined with the clean, Batman The Animated series influenced animation and the great Queen-esque theme song, we felt like it was a show that might connect with a broader audience in the US. When did you get the idea to help produce more Big O? What was the catalyst to put yourself and CN in that position? What made Big O so special to pursue something this big? That idea came from Mike Lazzo, who runs Adult Swim. He was a big fan of the show and suggested to me that we call Bandai and see if they might be open to creating another season as a co-production. It’s not really that the first season perfomed particularly well; it’s just that we really loved it and wanted more! Director Kazuyoshi Katayama recalls CN having two requests for season 2: more action and to “reveal the mystery.” Can you elaborate on that? That may be his recollection, but that’s not mine. -

Saishuuheiki Kanojo by John Thacker
Saishuuheiki Kanojo by John Thacker Shuuji and Chise have just begun to date, but Shuuji isn’t sure about the idea. It’s his first relationship and he feels awkward and uncomfortable. Sure, she’s nice enough, and cute, but he doesn’t really know if he wants to date Chise. He really doesn’t think he loves her, and most of all he’s uncomfortable doing “couple” things. (She wants him to write in an exchange diary?! How embarrassing.) It just doesn’t seem to be working, so he asks her to meet her after school, where he plans to break the news to her. Of course, that conversation doesn’t go nearly as planned, as Chise has a few confessions of her own. It’s the next day Since there are exactly zero SaiKano images when things start to get really strange available on the internet, please enjoy this though... photo of the cast of Sabor Marionette J. Tonight CJAS shows the first episode of the recent Japanese TV series Saishuuheiki Kanojo, alternately known in English as She, the Ultimate Weapon, or My Girlfriend the Ultimate Weapon. As the title indicates, it’s about a guy, Shuuji, whose girlfriend, Chise, has for some (not very clear) reason been made into Japan’s Ultimate Weapon. Most of the time, she’s still a normal, insecure high school student, but when in the midst of danger she partially transforms, and becomes unstoppable. Of course given such a setup one might expect SaiKano to be a loud, violent, action-packed, aggressive series, with lots of focus on fighting and technology; a typical shounen adrenaline rush. -
{PDF EPUB} Hetalia Axis Powers Vol. 2 by Hidekaz Himaruya Lillypadgraphics :The Art and Writings of Rachel Brazeale
Read Ebook {PDF EPUB} Hetalia Axis Powers Vol. 2 by Hidekaz Himaruya LillyPadGraphics :the art and writings of Rachel Brazeale. Hetalia, Axis Powers volume two ranked 1 st place in the New York Time’s Best Selling mangas. “Okay,” you say to me, “But what’s Hetalia?” (Or maybe you’re a long standing fan and are gushing in your seat as you read.) Hetalia, Axis Powers (also known as “Axis Powers Hetalia,” “APH,” or simply “Hetalia”) is a webcomic turned manga/television series. Its creator, Hidekaz Himaruya, has captured the hearts of millions all over the world from his home in Japan. Himaruya continues to make new characters and draw up new short or long comic strips on his blog (which is written in Japanese, though often one can find translations on LiveJournal.) Currently, two manga books of the series have been released in America, and three have been released in Japan. The television series (anime) is currently 52 episodes long, 2 seasons running (each season running for 26 episodes) and a 3ed season has been confirmed. “Okaaaaaay,” my in-the-dark readers are saying to me, “But what is it? What’s it about, if it’s so good?” Well, now that I have confused your brain with numbers, I will tell you. As the more history savvy readers are aware of already, the title has already told you that this is a story about World War II. “Axis Powers” were the countries who opposed the Allies during WWII. The two sides were mostly remembered for looking like this: Axis Powers: Germany, Italy, Japan, etc. -
