Martello Tower NIEA LB LH M Magilligan Point, Lower Doaghs, Limavady The only Martello Tower in Northern Ireland, built in 1812 as part of the coastal defences during the Napoleonic Wars. A standard circular tower of thirty-four courses of Ballyharrigan sandstone with a machicolated projection at the wallhead above the entrance. No dogs allowed in the Tower.
