Stephen 5 Glebe Road Hello. I’ve lived in Durrington for a couple of years and I love it Armstrong- Durrington here that much that I try to join in wherever possible and help Watkins out where I can. I chair the ‘Save the Plough Inn’ committee, which has saved the pub and has secured a 5 year Asset of Community Value certificate on it. I run a very small local business and would say that I am ‘of the people, and for the people’. Local people often turn to me for advice on council/community matters. I served Queen and country in the Army for 22 years, and I now serve you.

Stephen 7 Downland Way I have lived in for over 30 years having served 29 years Botham Durrington with as Head of Transport and Stores based at Police HQ Devizes. I’m retired but still work part time with a contractor that’s works with the Army. I’m married to a Durrington lady (Jean) who has lived here all her life being born in the old tin MoD houses at Larkhill. I was a School Governor for 12 years, 10 of which I was chair of Governors. I have been on the local council for a year and have been involved in the Planning Committee and the Amenities Committees.

Bill Clarke 199 Bulford Road I am a retired Army Officer and MOD Civil servant who has lived Durrington in Durrington for past 20years. 15 years of which I have been a Parish Councillor. For many years I was the principle liaison officer and representative for the MOD on the council and assisted or organised many events for both the army and residents of the village. I am the ‘Crimewatch’ chairman and take an interest also in planning matters and the maintenance and preservation of the village Conservation Area. Gemma 20 Glebe Road, I moved to Durrington approximately 5 years ago, having lived Clavell Durrington locally all of my life and was born in . I feel I would have a positive impact on choices made for the people of Durringotn. Prior to standing as a candidate in the 2017 Durrington Town Council elections I reported faulty street lights, pot holes and overgrown trees and hedges and ensured any of the above were completed.

Richard 8 Phillip Road I have lived in Durrington since 1999 having previously been Deakins Durrington stationed at Bulford Barracks in the early 60’s. I have previously been a driver for Durrington Link Scheme and was also the chairman and coordinator until 2014. I have been on the Council on and off for a number of years now which I do enjoy as I’m passionate about our village. I am Speedwatch Team Leader and Coordinator. I am a member of the crime prevention committee and Highways Representative. Betty 8 Phillip Road I was born in Brigmerston, lived in Milston, went to school in Elkins Durrington Durrington and have lived here all my life. I have seen many changes over the years in the village and still like to take an active part. Until 2014 I was a driver and assistant coordinator of Durrington Link Scheme.

John Ellis 101 Bulford Road I was born in Bottlesford and moved to Enford when I was Durrington eight. I went to Durrington Secondary Modern in 1960. I worked at the NAAFI where I met my wife Rosemary, whose family have lived in Durrington from 1911. I started work at the WD yard in Durrington in 1974. Our son, who went to Durrington school and his family also live in Durrington. I retired two years ago. I am a Library volunteer but feel I have the capacity to be able to help the people of Durrington become more involved in the village community. Dave 26 Westfield Originally from Surrey but lived and worked in this area since Healing Close 1955. Lived in Durrington since 1976. Have been a Durrington Durrington Parish Councillor since 1987. Chairman of Planning committee since 1991. Elected Chairman of Parish Council in 1996 and retained the position for 12 years. I have represented Durrington and Larkhill at the Area Boards and Area planning meetings. Attended a number of meetings discussing developments at Stonehenge and new visitors centre. Treasurer of the Durrington Plaza Committee organising the monthly film shows. Andy Lund 3 Willow Drive My wife Shirley and I have lived in Durrington since 1985 and Durrington our 3 children all attended local schools. Now we have the pleasure of 7 of our 9 grandchildren growing up here with 7 attending local schools. I am in leadership of Durrington Community Church which meets in our Village Hall. I try to involve myself in the life of the village, helping with Tea and Toast for carers of young children, the Cheerful Cuppa, Open the Book assemblies at both the Infants’ and Junior schools, mentoring of youngsters at our Infants’ school and at Avon Valley College. I have supported the youth work in the village. I run a weekly club at the Junior School. As DCC leader with others I have brought a regular “Twist of Faith” meeting to the Plough on the first Sunday of every month arranging for singers, speakers and drama groups to visit the village regularly. I served on the group devising the Parish Plan and have chaired the Village Hall committee. In March of this year I brought the professional well supported play “Darkness Falls” to our village. During my first tenure of office I introduced prayer to the beginnings of council meetings and I am keen to be a bridge between the council and all 3 of our local churches as well as to the Bridge youth project.

Susan 26 Bulford Road I have lived in Durrington all of my life and have been on the Paines Durrington Town Council for 28 years. I have enjoyed my time on the council and seeing things being done in its name. I run the Day Centre on a Friday in the Village Hal and help to raise funds for Friends of Durrington.

Sharon 27 Glendale Road I have proudly served as a Town Councillor for the past 2 years. Pick Durrington I have thoroughly enjoyed my time and wish to continue representing the community. I am passionate about Durrington, and during the past 18 months I chaired the Parish Plan Committee, engaged with residents for their opinions and was instrumental with the production and publication of the 2016- 2026 Plan. I now want to be involved in the projects for the village as a result of your feedback. I am an active member of the community, being a Library Volunteer since 2011 and regularly attending village ‘clean up’ events. I have lived with my husband and son in Durrington for 25 years and am a MoD civil servant, based in Larkhill.

Shaun 91 Avondown I have been a Town Councillor for over 18 years and feel that I Rennie Road Durrington have had a positive impact on the direction and decisions made for the people of Durrington and Larkhill and would like to continue that formula. I was born and lived in the village all of my life and have been married to Sue for over 30 years with one son, Daniel who attended the schools within the village. I am involved in many youth projects including the Duke of Edinburgh's Award as an assessor for Wiltshire and was a Governor at Avon Valley College for 12 years until they moved to Academy status last year. I am a member of many outdoor pursuits as this is one of my favourite pastimes. I am a long time Civil Servant based in Andover. John Todd 52 Bulford Road I have been a member of the Town Council since 2000. I was Durrington born in the village and enjoy living locally, participating in delivering the services of the Council and serving the community. I am a local businessman, representing the needs of local businesses on The Stonehenge Chamber of Trade. My specific interests on the Council are Crime Prevention and Disorder, Community Safety and organising the annual Village Show and Vintage Vehicle Gathering. Kathi Sharp 7 Glebe Road I have been an Army spouse for nearly 35 years now and with Durrington our family home in Durrington since 1988 and several postings to Larkhill I have grown to love this area and its welcoming, friendly people. Having worked at a local surgery and for the out of hours medical service amongst others I am currently running my own business in Durrington and am a keen volunteer at Salisbury Cathedral. It would be a privilege to be given the opportunity to represent your views on the council to help maintain and improve our facilities for all age groups.

Lee Tucker 21 Cygnet Drive After many years of travelling and working around the world, I Durrington fell in love with Durrington and Larkhill, especially the beautiful countryside in which it sits. I am already an active supporter of the Parish and would now like to take a more responsible role in the community. Continuing the good work that Durrington Town Council has done for so many years, I would bring new energy to help the community build for the future and the challenges it will face. Durrington and Larkhill will see a rapid

growth over the coming years and will need committed and passionate people to make sure that it continues to be a great place to live and visit. I believe I am one of those people. Marion 674 Netheravon Lived in Larkhill from 1961 to 1964 and went to Durrington Wardell Road Durrington School then moved back to Durrington in 1966. Worked as an Administrator in Ministry of Defence in Larkhill, Bulford and Tidworth until retiring in 2012. My Husband and I have two daughters who were both educated in Durrington. I am President of the Durrington WI. Joined Durrington Town Council in 2009. I am the Rights of Way representative and sit on a number of Council committees. I organise a walk which covers some of the rights of way in Durrington and Larkhill every year in September. Brigadier West View, I am a local resident, local property owner, serving Army Officer Greg Hackthorne Rd and family man. As a professional, conscientious, experienced Wilson Durrington and resourceful individual I believe I will serve the community extremely well and have the drive to deliver results that will make Durrington and Larkhill an even better place for us all to live. Significant opportunities to deliver community improvements exist with the future changes to the A303 and growth in Larkhill. The Council must be at the forefront of exploiting these opportunities and I would like to represent you in making it happen. I am particularly keen to continue the development of our amenities, improve services and enhance community safety.
