THE ACTION The participation of parishioners has enabled the working group to produce a plan which aims to conserve what the parishioners value and to provide a framework for change where it is needed. From the analysis of the questionnaires returned, a set of issues was identified for each section of the Plan. An action plan has been formulated for each issue. The issues and actions for each section are listed on the following pages. Some action is already moving forward, but it will be up to the ‘Partners’ to initiate the remainder. These partners may be the Parish, District, or County Council or groups within the parish. The Caradon District Council employs a full time Parish Plans Officer who may be able to identify sources for financing some of the schemes. This Plan provides the Partners with action plans and proposed time scales to assist with budget planning and making applications for funding. N f\A - S oo-Ha (jO$*\z'3'Z2 Environmental Protection Final Draft Report RIVER WATER QUALITY 1992 CLASSIFICATION BY DETERMINAND May 1993 Water Quality Technical Note FWS/93/005 Author: R J Broome Freshwater Scientist NRA CV.M. Davies National Rivers A h ority Environmental Protection Manager South West Region RIVER WATER QUALITY 1992 CLASSIFICATION BY DETERMINAND 1. INTRODUCTION River water quality is monitored in 34 catchments in the region. Samples are collected at a minimum frequency of once a month from 422 watercourses at 890 locations within the Regional Monitoring Network. Each sample is analysed for a range of chemical and physical determinands. These sample results are stored in the Water Quality Archive. A computerised system assigns a quality class to each monitoring location and associated upstream river reach. This report contains the results of the 1992 river water quality classifications for each determinand used in the classification process. 2. RIVER WATER QUALITY ASSESSMENT The assessment of river water quality is by comparison of current water quality against River Quality Objectives (RQO's) which have been set for many river lengths in the region.
