Dear Students and Parents, On Saturday our giant pumpkins, grown in our school’s vegetable garden, were entered in a pumpkin competition at Alowyn Gardens in Yarra Glen. The pumpkins were entered in the primary schools’ competition and we won first, second and third prizes. Our two biggest pumpkins each weighed more than 60 kilograms, our biggest ever. When the pumpkins are returned to school we will harvest the seeds and keep them for our next planting later this year. In addition to the prizes won by our pumpkins, some of our Grade 3/4 students also won awards for art work done at school. These will be returned to school in the near future and placed on display in the Administration building. Congratulations to all involved. Ian Jones
