• Scottish Income Tax ‘aims’: • ‘Over the course of the next parliament we will freeze Income Tax rates and bands’ • Thresholds will be increased by ‘a maximum of inflation’ • Strengthening tax powers: • ‘the devolution of VAT, and full powers over income tax and National Insurance contributions’ • A UK Income Tax and NICs structure and a Scottish one?! • Independence: • Pro-independence majority in the (SNP + ) • Indeyref2 looks likely.
