No PROCEEDING ACTION POINTS 1 Introduction The new FSC Coordinator Mr. Ntando chaired the meeting; he introduced himself to the partners and welcomed everyone and expressed strategic plans for the cluster moving forward, a round of introduction followed this. 2 Data Collection & analysis on IDPs in Fako and Meme Divisions by MCF FSC to share Miracle Charity Foundation (MCF) presented on the data collection and analysis on IDPs, presentation by MCF the project was carried between April-September 2019. 3 Partner Updates CEFORA to share  CEFORA with FSC their MOU o Implementing the UNDP-funded livelihood project that was initiated in and strategic July and funding was disbursed in September. approach on o Targeting 100 HHs of both IDPs and Host Communities in Ekona and 3 securing land access. villages in Buea however, due to the high needs identified an additional 20 HHs were further considered for the project. o Project is on planting short-cycled crops (Cucumber, Pepper, Green beans) for personal consumption and sale by the beneficiaries. o CEFORA engaged with village Chiefs and signed an MOU to allow beneficiaries have access to over 5 hectares of land. o Beneficiaries are involved in either group or individual farming upon their preference. o First harvest of farm produce was 2-weeks ago with about 130 bundles harvested and sold at 300 Francs per bundle. o The overall project implementation is currently 80% completion. o To ensure project monitoring and capacity strengthening, CEFORA has its field staff to assist on sustainable harvest procedures. o Drip irrigation system is also planned for the maize growers since rains are scanty. CEFORA highlighted the need for sensitization (with Chiefs and the community members) as a key strategy to ensuring a successful project of such.  FAO o Poultry and Home gardening projects in both NW & SW regions o 1,250 HHs beneficiaries are being assisted (600 HHs with Poultry and 650HHs with Home gardening). o Building materials for the poultry houses have just arrived in Buea and will be dispatched to the communities in the coming days. o Seeds for home gardening are also being procured and underway. o 300 HHs in Fako have also received building materials for the chickens.  WFP o Target to provide in-Kind food distribution to 80K people in SW region (Meme, Fako and Manyu divisions).

o 872 MT of food have been provided for November food distribution cycle, which is expected to reach 79,253 individuals. o WFP is also planning to start its Nutrition projects which targets 8,933 people in same divisions where food is being provided. o There will also be training on the prevention of malnutrition in Buea while same training is currently ongoing in Bamenda. o Under the Education Cannot Wait initiative, WFP will introduce the school feeding programme, which will provide support to 6,372 children in both formal and informal schools in NWSW. o 100 grams of High Energy Biscuits will be distributed to children in both formal and informal schools while 50kg rice and vegetable oil will be given to children in formal schools. o The school feeding programme will be piloted in Fako division mainly because of access and project monitoring.  Plan International o In collaboration with UNESCO and WFP, Plan International is identifying schools to benefit from the Education Cannot Wait initiative. o More than 1,000 children have been enrolled so far in safe spaces.

4 Cluster Update FSC to share the information  FSC Structure management o The FSC coordinator explained the structure of the cluster and further products highlighted on the need to have a strategic advisory group (SAG) and technical working groups to further strengthen the coordination and harmonization of partner approach and response.

FSC to update cluster partners on the online project module training for HRP

 IM update o The FSC IMO presented the information products (Dashboard, Partner Presence and Gap Analysis) for October activities and also requested for more participation in information sharing through the 5Ws to ensure a more representative analysis of the food security partner presence and response.

 NGO Co-chair o A ToR for the co-chair position has been shared already and five organizations have so far showed interest. The meeting chair further explained that there is currently no funding for this position and the incumbent will have to double hat with his organization’s responsibilities and the organization must have at least 2 years of food security experience, after compiling all EoI, there will be a voting to ensure transparency. Expression of Interest from partners in the North- West region is currently low and are further encouraged to participate.  HRP 2020 and Project plans o The HRP 2020 is still ongoing and the meeting chair also reminded the team of the People in Need (PiN) as identified through the Cadre Harmonise analysis (Phases 3-5) conducted in October 2019 which is 1.3M and the target 480K. The cluster objectives and indicators were also presented which was earlier supported by inputs from the technical committee setup to ensure an inclusive approach on the HNO/HRP processes. o Partners were also updated on the upcoming training by OCHA on the use of the online project module for submitting project/funding proposals for HRP 2020. The FSC will be available to provide any technical support on the use of the online project module. 5 AOB Closing & adjournment; The meeting ended by 12:16 pm and adjourned until 11 December 2019.
