1994 H.A.R.D. Corps #17 – “Send in the Armorines” January – The Armorines are assigned to capture H.A.R.D. Corps members in order to learn where they get their powers. They trick the H.A.R.D. Corps team into a trap and defeat them. Gunny recognizes Virgil and calls off the mission. H.A.R.D. Corps #18 – “Ghosts” January – The H.A.R.D. Corps are attacked again by the Armorines, but thanks to the cool heads of Lewis and Gunslinger they’re able to sort out who is who and come to the realization that both of their operations are funded by Senator Ackerman. January – In Ladakh, Tibet Chan trains in archery and philosophy. (Conjecture: “Weeks later.”)(The Second Life of Doctor Mirage #11) Clay McHenry, a cop in New York City, is blinded and his partner James Simpson is crippled after being involved in an illegal transaction. (Geomancer #1)(Geomancer #2) Ivar, the Timewalker, struggles to program a VCR. (Conjecture: Sometime in 1994.)(Timewalker #3) January 18 – Livewire sets up a date with Seth to go see a movie on February 1st. (Secret Weapons #7) Eternal Warrior #21 – “On the Shoulders of Giants” January – Gilad travels to Nevada to visit Dr. Steiner, a scientist who worked on the hydrogen bomb. Gilad is under the impression that Steiner had requested his presence, but he was actually called by Al Sharpsteen, an associate of Steiner’s. Sharpsteen fears that Steiner plans to launch nuclear weapons and start World War III. Gilad stops Steiner. January 20 – Senator Okubo of Japan is threatened by the Yakuza with the kidnapping of his daughter, Michiko. (Conjecture: Late January.)(Ninjak #3) Archer & Armstrong #21 – “Ladakh Attack” January 25 – A messenger from Ladakh arrives in Los Angeles and informs Archer that Master Darque attacked their temple and killed many monks. Archer vows to put an end to Darque and travels to Louisiana to confront Darque. January 26 - Archer meets up with Shadowman and the two attack Darque. Archer is captured. January 26 – Senator Okubo fakes the kidnapping of his daughter Michiko. (Ninjak #3) Archer & Armstrong #22 – “The Darque at the Top of the Stairs” January 26 – Armstrong flies to New Orleans to help Archer escape from Master Darque. Ninjak #3 – “The 7th Dragon” January 26 – Colin King attends a charity ball at Buckingham Palace. There he is met by Neville Alcott who convinces King to join his organization. The Seventh Dragon attacks a group of Yakuza searching for Michiko. January 27 – Ninjak arrives in Japan, and after rescuing Senator Okubo from a group of Yakuza he confronts him on the whereabouts of Michiko. Harbinger #28 – “Heal Thyself” January 27 – Butch undergoes psychiatric evaluation which results in him attacking his therapist. January 27 – With the help of Sandria, Armstrong frees Archer from Master Darque. (Archer & Armstrong #22) Shadowman #0 – “Shadowmen” January 27 – Armstrong tells Jack Boniface the origin of the first Shadowman, Maxim St. James. Nettie tells Jack that his powers are different than St. James’ because Darque had Lydia infected Jack with an alien virus. (Conjecture: Date is placed to coincide with Armstrong’s visit to New Orleans.) Shadowman #24 – “H.A.T.E.” January 27 – Shadowman breaks up a hate crime. (Editor’s Note: Jack is finishing his conversation with Armstrong at the beginning of this issue. That is where the date is derived.) January 28 – Jack goes on the radio to promote his upcoming album, but instead of talking about the album the discussion is about Leland Paige, the new Senator whose group H.A.T.E. promotes the hatred of other races and sexual orientations. January 28 – Ninjak discovers where Michiko is being hidden. (Ninjak #3) Ninjak #4 – “The 7th Dragon, Part 2 – Dragonslayer” January 28 – With the help of Goro Sanada, revealed to be the Seventh Dragon, Ninjak rescues Michiko from Toshihiro Matsuda, a Yakuza Oyabun. January 29 – Ninjak leaves Japan. January 29 – Shadowman beats up Leland Paige. (Shadowman #24) January 30 – Shadowman approaches Nettie about becoming more powerful in hopes of breaking Darque’s curse. (Shadowman #24) Ninjak #5 – “Full Metal Jacket” January 30 – Webnet attempts to infect Orb Industries computers with a virus. Ninjak arrives in New York to stop them. (Editor’s Note: The date of March 7th doesn’t work because Aric refers to his armor as being Shanhara.) Ninjak #6 – “Full Metal Jacket, Part 2” January 30 – With the help of Aric, Ninjak is able to put a stop to Webnet’s plans. Ninjak learns that Dr. Silk is still alive. January 31 – The Harbinger Foundation begins plans to reacquire Stronghold and Livewire. (Harbinger #28) January 31 – Solar stops a group of fake prospectors seeding treasure on sunken ships in San Francisco. (Solar, Man of the Atom #32) Secret Weapons #6 – “The Horror Below, Part 1” February 1 – Tom Morgan is aided in a murder investigation by Geoff McHenry. McHenry recruits Stronghold and Livewire. The four go into the sewer system and discover a large colony of Spider Aliens. (Editor’s Note: The Date of November 1st does not work in conjunction with X-O Manowar #26 and Harbinger #28. Based on Harbinger #28, Ninjak #5, and to keep the spirit of the original date, I’ve placed this issue on February 1st.) February 1 – Turok visits Aric at his New York residence. The two of them discover a tunnel which has been used by Spider Aliens. They explore the tunnel and find a colony of Spider Aliens. (X-O Manowar #27) Secret Weapons #7 – “The Horror Below, Part 2” February 1 – Gilad, Aric and Turok join in the fight against the Spider Aliens. Geoff discovers that the catacombs holding this colony of Spider Aliens stretches for hundreds of miles. X-O Manowar #27 – “The Hunt” Aric and Turok come to the assistance of Stronghold, Livewire, Geoff, Gilad and Morgan who are also fighting the Spider Aliens. Aric fights a Spider Alien was a priest from the late 1600’s. Aric defeats him. Aric and Turok stay in the catacombs to continue the hunt. February 1 – Gilad, Livewire, Stronghold, Geoff and Morgan escape the Spider Alien catacombs. (Secret Weapons #8) Solar, Man of the Atom #32 – “Parent’s Night” February 1 – Phil Seleski convinces his father not to cut the funding on his Berkeley project. Geoff calls Solar to let him know about the Spider Aliens colony under New York. X-O Manowar #28 – “Carnage!” February 1 – Randy and Paul join Aric and Turok in their fight against the Spider Aliens. The Spider Aliens are able to destroy Shanhara, the XO armor, after they’ve slowly poisoned it. X-O Manowar #29 – “Desolation” February 1 – After the XO armor is destroyed Paul and Turok rescue Aric from the Spider Alien queen. Paul becomes badly injured in the fight. Aric, Turok, Randy and Paul escape the catacombs. Paul is rushed to the hospital. Solar arrives to aide in the fight against the Spider Aliens but Aric tells him he’s too late. February 2 – Aric and Randy fight over the loss of Shanhara and then make love. Paul’s legs are amputated. (X-O Manowar #29) X-O Manowar #30 – “Seeds of Hope” February 2 – Solar explores the caverns where the Spider Aliens were hiding. Paul’s blood is infected with Spider Alien poison. Solar goes to Saturn and finds a seed on the XO Manowar class armor he fought against in 1991. Bloodshot #15 – “The Hunter: The Hunted” February 4 – Cinder and Glyder attack Bloodshot hoping that killing him will get them back in good graces with Dr. Silk. Bloodshot defeats them. Secret Weapons #8 – “The Price” February 5 – The Harbinger Foundation, at the request of Gilad, reacquires Stronghold and Livewire. (Editor’s Note: Neville’s comments about Gilad having trouble getting out of Saudi Arabia make little sense since that took place in October.) February 5 – Bloodshot, Gilad and Geoff begin searching for the Weaponeer’s vault. (Bloodshot #15) February 5 – Solar gives Aric the XO Manowar armor seed he found. In order for the seed to become armor it needs to bond with a living being. (Conjecture: “Several days later.”)(X-O Manowar #30) February 5 – Stronghold and Livewire are brought to the Harbinger Foundation facility at Bolivar, Missouri. (Harbinger #29) February 6 – Paul bonds with the XO Manowar armor seed and dies. (X-O Manowar #30) February 7 – Randy goes to Canada for Paul’s funeral. (X-O Manowar #30) X-O Manowar #31 – “Subterfuge, Part 1 – Old Haunts” February 8 – Aric tries out his new armor, Pol-Bekhara. An employee of Orb Industries dies trying to gain access to a vault at one of Orb Industries facilities. Randy visits with old friends in Vancouver. February 9 – Aric investigates the death of one of his employees. He runs into Krollos, a Harbinger who also has advanced weaponry. Krollos tries to gain access to the vault. X-O Manowar #32 – “Subterfuge, Part 2 – Blinded” February 9 – Aric defeats Krollos. Inside the vault is a Spider Alien vessel. Randy attends Paul’s funeral. David, another compatriot of Randy’s dies under mysterious circumstances. Shadowman #25 – “A Nightmare on Bourbon Street” February – Shadowman fights and defeats a man who can kill in his dreams. Secret Weapons #9 – “Search for the Vault” February – Gilad, Bloodshot and Geoff travel the globe searching for the Weaponeer’s vault. They discover it in a volcano in the Philippines. Webnet follows them. Secret Weapons #10 – “Search and Destroy” February – Gilad, Bloodshot and Geoff destroy the Weaponeer’s vault causing the volcano to erupt. They recover three suits that Neville will use in Project: Secret Weapons.
