The Trail returns to Salford Quays from Barton swing aqueduct (the only one in the world!) via Eccles.

It’s easy walking but not designed for cycling. Some sections are suitable for wheelchair users.

The best place to join The Salford Trail from Ellesmere Park is at Dukes Drive in Monton. This is Walk 7 which goes along the to Barton with an option to turn right to join Greenway. The Greenway leads to Brookhouse and the start of Walk 9 out across the mosslands towards Irlam.
