    ITEM NO. 14.1 Report of: Head of Economic Prosperity Contact Officer: David Prosser- Davies Telephone No: 01543 464202 Portfolio Leader: Health & Wellbeing Key Decision: Yes Report Track: Cabinet: 30/01/20 CABINET 30 JANUARY 2020 NEW HEALTH IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMME ‘CANNOCK CHASE CAN’ 1 Purpose of Report 1.1 To consider the implications of the motion approved at Council on 6 November 2019, on the implementation of a district-wide Health Improvement Programme, ‘Cannock Chase Can’, aimed at focussing local efforts on supporting the Government’s Child Obesity Action Plan. 2 Recommendation(s) 2.1 That Cabinet approves the implementation of a district-wide Health Improvement Programme, ‘Cannock Chase Can’. 2.2 To note the resource implications that will be submitted to Cabinet for consideration as part of the 2020/21 budget process. 3 Key Issues and Reasons for Recommendations 3.1 At the Council meeting on 6 November 2019, the Leader of the Council moved a motion to support the Government’s Child Obesity Action Plan, which aims to halve childhood obesity in the UK by 2030. Having conquered the world of social media, Titania is now generously bestowing her wisdom onto a live audience. In a non-patronising manner, Titania will explain where exactly they are going wrong and how to be more like her. ‘Hilarious… perfectly captures the chiding, self-righteous, intolerant, joyless tone of the “woke” Stasi.’ Janice Turner, The Times Titania McGrath is the satirical alter-ego of writer and comedian Andrew Doyle. She has been active on Twitter for only a year, but in that time has amassed over 275,000 followers. Her first book, WOKE: A GUIDE TO SOCIAL JUSTICE, was published in March of this year to great acclaim. Up until January 2019, Andrew Doyle was the co-writer of spoof news reporter Jonathan Pie. During a three year collaboration, Andrew co-wrote a Jonathan Pie book, two live tours, a BBC mockumentary, and numerous viral videos including a response to Donald Trump’s election which was viewed online more than 150 million times, and a more recent video which was described by Ricky Gervais as “one of the most perfect (and important) pieces of comedy I’ve ever seen”.

Sixth former, Esther, was about to become a victim of her peer group. Within six months, viewers would see her change from a confident teenager with a bright future to an alcohol and pills fuelled suicide attempt. With an active online audience, Lime Pictures and Channel 4 education needed a partner who would bring the story to life digitally and deliver on these key objectives: OBJECTIVES • Educate, entertain and engage - develop a compelling online concept to add value to the storyline. • Build awareness of the storyline with the existing and wider audience. With 38% of young people affected by cyber bullying, Democracy believed that the digital aspect needed OUTPUTS to show how social media makes bullying a 24/7 experience. Democracy proposed creating a world first: a fictional social network that offered rich content to viewers and gave greater depth to the TV plot. Naively created by fellow sixth form character Dylan, DocYou was the kind of social network that every parent fears - no safety checks, no options to report abuse and no accountability. The perfect environment for unchecked bullying. For fans of the show, the site allowed for real time, two-screen viewing, incorporating a design and build that would be accessible via smartphones and tablets (the two most likely viewing devices) in addition to desktop. Plus, it shared much of the functionality that the audience would recognise from Facebook and tumblr.
