Celebration 4 - 5 For many years Bolton CVS has acted as a Grants Notice Board 6 Administrator on behalf of a range of statutory bodies including Bolton Council and NHS Bolton. Between 2000 Group and 2010 Bolton CVS has successfully administered 2025 Development 7 grants with a total value of £3.4 million. Sustainable Groups As part of the new government’s drive to address the Project (SGP) 8 overall financial situation in this country, reductions have been made in the amount of Area Based Grant given to Grants in Great 9 Bolton Council. On 26th July, the Executive of Bolton Lever Council took the decision on a range of proposals to reduce expenditure for this year. Funding News 10 - 13 Reduction of Vision Grants Pot The BIG Bolton Fund 14 One of the proposals agreed at this meeting was a cut of £32,000 to the Vision Grants pot which provides small Bolton grants up to £3,000 for voluntary and community groups Community within Bolton. Network Reduction of Cleaner Greener Grants Pot pages 4 page section A second proposal agreed was for a cut of £57,000 to the Creating Cleaner Greener Communities Grants pot which Successful Grants 15 - 17 provides grants of £5,000 for groups working on environmental projects within Bolton. Bolton CVS News Launch of Brand New 2010 Little Book of Funding Helen Tomlinson, Groups Co-ordinator, said: “In order to help groups at this difficult time we have launched a brand new 2010 edition of a little book of funding . This comprehensive booklet contains details of over 40 sources of funding available to local groups and it can be downloaded from the Bolton CVS website at www.boltoncvs.org.uk/bolton-cvs-publications . Business Award and the BIG Bolton Fund Endowment Challenge Recently Bolton CVS was delighted to win the prestigious Bolton and Bury Business Award, Community Section, sponsored by O2. At the moment Bolton CVS has the opportunity to match pound for pound any donations up to a maximum of £103,000 by the end of March 2011. Karen Minnitt said: “We know that times are very tough at the moment but if anyone feels they can help us to achieve our target of raising £103,000 then every penny is welcome!
