Allow to cool before using. Cream the margarine with the mixture and beat well. Beat the eggs and add gradually beating well. Fold in the fruit, grated rind and sifted flour. Add rest of milk as required to give soft dropping consistency. Place in two greased and lined tins, sprinkle the almonds and bake at 140°C for 75 minutes or a little longer. Allow to cool then turn out onto wire rack.
