The University of Texas at Tyler does not offer airport pick-up service. Students make their own transportation arrangements from area airports to Tyler, Texas.

Airport Shuttle Services of East Texas

Airport Shuttle Services of East Texas is a shuttle service located in Tyler that offers daily airport pick-up service from the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport and Love Field Airport to any hotel or college campus in the city of Tyler.

Daily airport pick up times are offered at 10:30am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, and 7:30pm at a cost of $85 per person.

Groups of two or more people travelling together pay reduced rates based on the number of people in the group.

How to Schedule a Pick-Up

Students can schedule a pick-up with Airport Shuttle Services of East Texas (www.shuttleofeasttx.com) by making a reservation via email to [email protected] or by calling 903-534-3688. A reservation on one of the daily shuttles should be made at least 48 hours ahead.

Students should provide the following details when making a reservation:

Cancellations of reservations require advance notice of 24 hours. Special Rate Offer for UT Tyler Students

Airport Shuttle Service of East Texas is offering UT Tyler students a discounted rate of $65 on any of its daily shuttle pick-ups from Saturday, August 11 through Saturday, August 18.

A reservation is required and should be made no later than July 31, 2012. Email [email protected] or call 903-534-3688 to make a reservation.

Payment Options

The Airport Shuttle Services of East Texas pick-up service accepts the following payment methods:

 Cash payment made at the time of pick-up;  Travelers’ checks paid at the time of pick-up; or,  Credit card payment made by phone at the time a reservation is made.

 Where will I find the Airport Shuttle Services of East Texas shuttle at the airport?

The shuttle driver will greet you in your baggage claim area. The driver will be holding a sign with your name on it.

 Is there an extra charge if I have extra luggage?

Shuttle riders may have two checked bags and a carry-on bag. Any additional luggage will be charged an additional fee. If you will be travelling with large trunks, please indicate so when you make your reservation.

 Can I schedule a pick-up time other than one of the four daily pick-up times?

If you would like to be picked up at the airport at a time other than one of the four daily pick-up times, you can schedule a custom pick-up time with Airport Shuttle Services of East Texas. Email [email protected] to make your custom reservation. There is an additional fee for custom pick-up service.

 Do I pay the shuttle driver a gratuity?

The drivers of Airport Shuttle Services of East Texas do not expect a gratuity; however, it is customary in the US to provide a small gratuity to drivers. A gratuity of around $3-5 would be appreciated especially if assistance with heavy luggage has been provided.

 Where will I be dropped off in Tyler?

Airport Shuttle Services of East Texas will drop riders off at any Tyler hotel or college campus. They will drop students off directly at their UT Tyler campus residence hall and at the Varsity Apartments community located directly across the street from UT Tyler’s computer science and engineering building, the Ratliff Building.

Alternate Transportation Options

Other transportation options from the Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport are limited. Rental car services are available at the airports. Taxis may also be hired from the airport; the cost of hiring a taxi from Dallas to Tyler can be as high as $300.
