The patent number issued by the Indian Patent Office is 225145. Council of Scientific & Industrial Research had filed patent application number 338/DEL/2002 for a novel synergistic rodent repellent liquid formulation on March 27, 2002. The inventor of the patent is Krishnoji Rao Muktha Bai. TD The International classification number is A01N65/00. According to the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks, "The present invention relates to a novel synergistic rodent repellent liquid formulation. The formulation is based on plant materials and non-lethal chemical compounds. The main utility of the formulation is to protect the food materials stored in gunny or jute sacs when treated/sprayed to prevent or reduce the rodent (rats & mice) attack. A novel synergistic rodent repellent liquid formulation comprises: Pongamia oil ranging from 20-50 weight %, Citronella oil 1-3 weight %, Methyl anthranilate 12-14 weight %. Title of the project : Study of Social and economic dependencies of local communities on Protected Areas : A case of Peechi- Vazhani and Chimmoni Wildlife Sanctuaries. 3. Objective : 1. Survey on the economic and social status of local communities in the Protected Areas and classification of the local communities based on their dependencies on the Protected Areas. 2. Quantification and classification of NTFP collected from the Protected Areas by the local communities (both legal and illegal). 3. Assessment of grazing pressure on the Protected Areas. 4.
