Introducing our new Bishop Bishop Robert recently came to Antwerp to talk to members of the parochial church council (PCC) about the episcopal care of our parish. This follows from the vote which reflected the unease that some of our people have about the ordination of women to the priesthood, and thus to the episcopate. Following the guidelines of the House of Bishops of the , the now has the Right Rev'd Norman Banks, as one of the assistant bishops of the diocese.

It is Bishop Norman who will now have the sacramental care of St Boniface. Bishop Robert remains as diocesan bishop. In practice, this means that Bishop Norman will preside as Bishop at the Eucharist here, and he will administer the sacraments of Bishop Robert commisioned Bishop confirmation when necessary.
