THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (B4114 CROFT TO JUNCTION WITH A5, B581 STONEY STANTON TO BROUGHTON ASTLEY AND B4669 FROM B4114 TO M69 AND SHARNFORD ROAD, SAPCOTE FROM B4117 COVENTRY ROAD, SAPCOTE, IN THE DISTRICT OF BLABY) (IMPOSITION OF 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202 THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 5, 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (The Act) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be: 1. To impose a 50 mph speed limit on various lengths of B4114 from Croft to its junction with A5, Broughton Road, Croft, B581 from Stoney Stanton to Broughton Astley, B4669 from B4114 to M69 and Sharnford Road, Sapcote from B4117 Coventry Road, Sapcote.     LEICESTERSHIRE ORIENTEERING CLUB Permanent Orienteering Course Fosse Meadows, Sharnford Fosse Meadows Nature Park lies off the old Fosse Way (Roman Road) to the east of Sharnford. The park is managed by Blaby District Council. The 57 Ha park was formerly farmland but several areas have been planted with blocks of trees. Some of these blocks are now mature enough to be used for orienteering and together with the other more open areas of the park they provide a reasonable challenge, particularly for less experienced orienteers. The stream running along the east side of the map is the River Soar, not far from its source. This is Leicestershire’s longest river and eventually joins the River Trent in the north of the county. Getting there The permanent orienteering courses start and finish at the car park on the old Fosse Way at Grid Ref SP489909. Rosemarie Simpson has volunteered to coat the structure. 20/093 Volunteering in the Village – After communication with Cllr Dalton-Brown and Paul Coates (Neighbourhood Services, Blaby Council) and Luke Clements (Waste Management Officer, Hinckley and Bosworth BC) regarding the Brook clearance, any work carried out needs to be in accordance with the Environment Agency guidelines and they will help with clearing any green waste. However, waiting for approval before asking for volunteers.
