SPECIFICATION TIKKA T3 LITE STAINLESS TIKKA T3 LITE STAINLESS based on a two locking lug T3 all-weather action. Bolt features springloaded plunger ejec- tor and it can be easily stripped down for maintenance. Bolt and receiver are made of stainless steel. The single-column detachable clip MAGAZINE holds 3-4 cartridges. Single-column 4-6-shot (depending on caliber) magazine is available as accessory (not in Short Mag calibers). The single-stage TRIGGER pull is adjustable from 1 kg to 2 kg (2 to 4 lbs). Safety is two stage type and locks the trigger and the bolt handle when engaged. All models are available with a single-set trigger as option. The STOCK is made of glass-fiber reinforced copolymer polypropylene and has a buttplate system where the length of pull is adjustable by means of spacers. Straight stock features ambidextrous palm swell. TIKKA T3 LITE STAINLESS is supplied without OPEN SIGHTS. Integral rails for the scope mounts are on the top of the receiver. Receiver is also tapped to receive standard (Weaver) scope mount bases. The free-floating, stainless steel BARREL is cold hammer-forged. Non Magnum models available also with short barrel with thread (calibers 338 Federal, 8x57IS and 9.3x62 M15x1, other calibers M14x1) at the muzzle for muzzle brake or suppressor assembling. 2013 Sako history begins when the company was founded in the early 1920´s. Sako has come a long way from nearly total hand manufacturing to todays computer aided R&D and CNC manufacturing. Nevertheless we have not forgotten the value of traditional gunsmithing. That’s why we still do some critical areas by hand. A good example of this is our inspection of each barrel visually and then shooting it manually for proof and accuracy. All our rifles comply with CIP and SAAMI requirements. Sako gained access to new and refined production methods, which in turn enabled us to intensify our product development. The Sako model 85 was developed, based on the vast experience gained from the success of its predecessors. Our Sako 85 rifles have the worlds most advanced turnbolt action in 6 different action sizes. For the hunter this means tailor made and specific purpose rifles in each selected caliber. Further, the model A7 was developed to give hunters access to a medium priced Sako rifle. Not sacrificing first class workmanship or accuracy, but by optimizing the available action sizes and parts. We also manufacture the Sako Quad series, the world´s first rimfire bolt-action rifle with interchangeable barrels. This is the all-in-one rimfire package, for the serious rimmfire enthusiast. Thames Valley Guns Armourers Report Introduction In late 2016 I decided to sell my .223 Mossberg MRP LC and replace it with another .223 calibre rifle. This was driven by the fact that I really liked the Canadian MDT HS3 chassis system and wanted a suitable rifle to fit it. The HS3 Chassis system is designed to accept the following rifles Remington 700, Remington 7, Howa 1500, Savage and the Tikka T3. The Howa and T3 were the only two rifles that interested me and after some research it was clear that both rifles were readily available in the UK. The Howa was available as a varmint, 1 in 9 twist, threaded muzzle, in blue but without a rail. However its greatest attraction was its price at a shade under £500 retail. The Tikka on the other hand was double that price and then some, was available as a super varmint, fitted with a rail, threaded, in stainless, 1 in 8 twist and had a superior stock. I have worked on a few Howa’s over the years, even owned one, they are good rifles, good quality, very good value for money and in recent years have been subject to various aftermarket kits. On then other hand the Tikka tends to be a hunting rifle, I have worked on the Tikka tactical when they first appeared but it never really appealed to me as the price was astronomical for what it was and whilst the Tikka is without doubt a quality rifle its hunting heritage meant that only few have crossed my work bench.
