Description : This route is perfect for all types of bikes and riders. It has a mixture of technical and easy going sweeping roads with excellent visibility with a mixture of small and medium size towns for fuel and coffee stops. Salers is the perfect stop for lunch in this Medieval Templar Stronghold. Traffic is scarce until you head up to Puy Mary when you can expect to meet tourists.

Tour No 3 - Puy Mary Outward Leg Head east out of Theil Take the 1st right onto D132E3

Junction D132E3 and D16 Turn left onto D16E3

At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto D940 After the Brasserie Turn left onto the D16 Signposted to Egletons Turn Left onto D16 *The Intermarche is slightly Right of this Junction Fuel Stop if Required Continue to follow D16 to Egletons Cross over the D1089 and at the Red & White Pylon Take a slight right down hill Go through 2 roundabouts

At the 3rd roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the D1089 SuperU in front of you - Fuel if Nessesary Continue on the D1089 At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto D142E Continue East on D142E

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto D16 Continue to follow D16 Enter Laplau look right for Cafe - * Coffee Stop

Continue to follow D16 straight through Soursac At the Barrage d' Agile Turn left up the hill onto D105 Photo Stop At Chalvignac Continue straight onto D678

Head east on D678

Slight right onto Av. du Limousin D678 to Mauriac Turn right D782 watch for the sharp right bend after the school At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto D681 At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto D922 Head southeast on D922 over the new roundabout with the Intermarche on your left - Fuel if Required

Go through 1 roundabout and Continue southeast on D922

Turn left onto D680 Salers is an Ideal Lunch stop in this Knights Templar Stronghold

Continue on the D680 onto Pas de Naronne

Layby Photo opportunity on the right

Stay on D680 and onto the Pas de Payrol

Photo just before the summit

Cafe and Tourist Info turn right toward D17

Head south on D17 - Amazing Views

Regions : Limousin (Correze) Auvergne (Cantal , Puy Dome) Duration: 106 Miles / 170 Kms

Attractions : Cantal Volcano Parc, Chateau de Val, Barrage du Bort les Orgues.

Coffee Stops: Riom es Montagne, Chateau de Val.

Description : The views are stunning, On the way down from Puy Mary to the D3 to Riom es Montagne you will encounter a few cyclists enjoying the down hill section which was the route of the Tour de France in 2011. The D3 itself is perfect. wide, open, log deep fast bends, as good as a track day... The tranquillity of Chateau de Val will have you relaxed before the long fast twisties back to RidersRest approx 1 hour

Turn right onto D680

Continue northeast on D680

Continue on D680 toward Le Chaumeil

T Junction - Turn left onto D3 Continue to follow D3 to Riom es Montagne

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit Tout Directions D3 Fuel Stop Head east on Route de Condat/D3 toward Lotissement des Mazets

At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Rue de la Gentiane D3 Continue to follow D3 At roundabout take 1st exit onto D922 headed for Bort Les/Orgues

Go through 3 roundabouts At Lanobre Turn left onto Route du Château de Val Continue past Quary on Route du Château de Val

Chateau de Val Coffee Stop Retrace your steps back to Lanobre

Turn right onto D922 Slight right onto D683 and across the Barrage du Bort Les Orgues

At Roundabout take 1st exit up hill on the D979 - Continue on D979 Enter the roundabout take 3rd exit onto D1089

At St Angel Turn right onto Route de Meymac D979 Continue to follow D979 At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto D979 Continue to follow D979 Fuel is available in Maymac at the Peugeot Garage on left After traffic lights at the memorial Turn right onto cobbled road At Fountain continue straight ahead onto Grand Rue Turn right onto Rue de la Fontaine du Rat Continue to follow D36

Turn left onto D979 Head southwest on D979 towards Bugeat/Limoges

Turn left onto D940

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit on the D16

After sharp right bend take Slight right onto D132E3 Continue to follow D132E3 Turn left onto Theil RidersRest is on your right
