Imola, riparte il campionato 44 piloti di F4 e Formula Regional in pista dopo la pausa estiva Rome, 29th August 2019 – Italian Formula 4 Championship powered by Abarth and Formula Regional European Championship certified by FIA rr-start in Imola. From August 30th to September 1st the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari will be the scenario of the two championships comeback after the Summer break. 44 drivers will face each other on the challenging twists and turns of the 4.909 m track in the hills of Romagna. The two championships, which represent important and challenging transitions in the FIA ideal route from karting to Formula 1, come back in Italy after a great show on European tracks. Drivers and teams are determined to start at best this last two months of races before the final winners will be crowned. All the rankings are still open; the first edition of the Formula Regional European Championship certified by FIA, sees vigorously the rise of Prema Powerteam, with the Danish driver Vesti strongly claiming his first place, but with 25 points to give per each race and 4 races to go only this weekend, the competition is not over yet at all. The internal battle is with Vesti's teammate, Enzo Fittipaldi, currently second, followed by the German David Schumacher (US Racing) and the e-Sport FIA world champion Igor Fraga (DR Formula by RP Motorsport). Van Amersfoort Racing is represented in this series by Sophia Floersch, the young German driver who showed a surprisingly strong determination and, until now, brought home constantly growing performances during the whole championship.

Taliban fighters launched rock- ets Saturday at airports in Kanda- har and Herat, two of the coun- try’s largest cities and busiest eco- nomic centers. The attacks dis- rupted commercial travel, though flights in and out of Herat subse- quently resumed. “There was a large blast and the whole room started shaking,” said Massoud Ahmad Pashtun, the chief of Kandahar airport, who was present at the time of the at- tack. He said three rockets landed within seconds of each other and ‘I got lucky’ damaged one of the runways. The attacks mark a potential turning point in the Afghan con- flict. • Fernando Continues Points Streak After Battling Drive in Styria Alpine F1
Fernando continues points streak after battling drive in Styria Alpine F1 Team collected two points from today’s BWT Styrian Grand Prix after Fernando Alonso’s ninth place finish in Spielberg. Team-mate Esteban Ocon finished in fourteenth place. It was a lively start to the afternoon for Fernando, who made a strong getaway off the line to put pressure on the cars ahead. After briefly taking sixth place on the run to Turn 3 on the opening lap, Fernando settled into eighth in the early running. The Spaniard pitted on lap 27 for new Hards with the pit crew delivering a slick two-second stop. As the order fell into place, it was a race to the line with Fernando battling with Charles Leclerc and Lance Stroll for seventh place. With additional pressure from Yuki Tsunoda behind, Fernando battled hard to cross the line in ninth. Esteban enjoyed a clean start to the race from seventeenth on the grid and moved up to fifteenth by the end of lap one. He pitted on lap 36, replacing his starting Mediums for Hards, and remained in the group that was narrowly hovering outside the top ten. He advanced to fourteenth place by passing Antonio Giovinazzi nine laps from the end and held position until the chequered flag. Esteban Ocon, started P17, finished P14: “It has been a challenging weekend. Today, we were in a difficult position at the start and it was always going to be hard to work our way up the field. We were just not able to follow the group in front where there were some battles and possible opportunities to take.

2016 MEDIA GUIDE Toyota Racing Series: TOP INTERNATIONALS CHALLENGE LEADING KIWI DRIVERS New Zealand’s premier single-seater championship has once more attracted a top field of international drivers to this country to do battle with New Zealand drivers for the most prestigious trophies in New Zealand motor racing. The championship, now in its 12th season, and in the second season for the new FT50 race car, the series was established to help young New Zealanders to advance their racing careers by giving them experience in modern composite-based ‘wings and slicks’ race cars. It has launched Kiwis into international racing careers. New Zealand graduates of the series include 2015 FIA World Endurance Champion Brendon Hartley, Le Mans 24-Hour race winner Earl Bamber, GP2 racers Mitch Evans and Richie Stanaway, Japanese Formula Three champion Nick Cassidy, Chinese Formula Masters champion James Munro, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champion Chris van der Drift and V8 Supercars driver Shane van Gisbergen. This year three Kiwis are racing – James Munro (Christchurch), 2015 national Formula Ford champion Taylor Cockerton (Pukekohe) and 2015 Spirit of a Nation TRS feature race winner Brendon Leitch. Munro is having his third shot at winning the TRS championship as is Leitch, while it is Cockerton’s first year in the top category. The international talent they will race against is considerable. Brazilian 17-year-old Pedro Piquet, son of three-time world Formula One champion Nelson (1981, 1983, 1987), is returning to the TRS after contesting the opening rounds in 2014. In the intervening period he has won the Brazilian Formula Three Championship for the last two years and will be using the TRS series as a springboard into the FIA European Formula Three Championship where he will team up with British driver and 2015 TRS graduate Callum Ilott at Van Amersfoort racing.
