Temple Sinai March For Our Lives Weekend Outline:

Friday Lobbying - 9am - 3pm Spending a morning on Capitol Hill, meeting with your members of Congress or their staff members to lobby for common sense gun reform. The Religious Action Center will provide all lobbying materials for the experience so that you will be amply prepared to hold your lawmakers responsible and demand change from the government. Shabbat Dinner - 6:30pm - 7:30pm Reconnect and meet Reform Jewish college students at a Shabbat dinner hosted a Temple Sinai! This dinner will be a great opportunity to build relationships with other Reform students, while getting ready for an exciting weekend. Shabbat Services - 8pm - 10pm Sing, dance, pray, and celebrate Shabbat with the Reform Jewish community as Washington Hebrew Congregation. A musical experience featuring will also be taking place. You won’t want to miss it!

Saturday Saturday Morning Programming - Doors open at 8am, programming is from 9:30am-11am Join together with over 3,000 members of the Union for for a meaningful pre-march rally and Shabbat morning service at the Marriott Marquis in Washington D.C. This will be an opportunity to come together as a movement to pray, console, and unite in the fight against gun violence. Please sign up in advance here. March For Our Lives - 12pm - End March side-by-side with thousands of Reform and tens of thousands of fellow Americans as we march down Avenue -- demand that our government hears us, sees us, and understands that we will not rest until reforming gun laws in the United States becomes a priority. Relax and Recharge at - 3pm - 6pm After a long day of marching and advocacy, join Jewish college students from around the country to decompress at Hillel’s office at the Schusterman International Center in Washington D.C. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Advocacy Meeting - 5pm - 6pm Join the college students of Reform Judaism at Hillel International’s building as we organize, strategize, and prepare for the long road of gun violence prevention advocacy that awaits us at home and on our college campuses. Together, we will explore how to best leverage our collective passion for and unique position as students who are old enough to vote and in order to create an effective, meaningful, and spiritually- rooted response to the onslaught of gun violence threatening our nation. Havdallah - 7:30pm - 8:30pm Close out the weekend with Havdallah at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington D.C. After what is sure to be an impactful and meaningful weekend, we will join together in prayer and song and will focus on being advocates on our campuses and in our communities moving forward.
