Flat at first along the foot of the more gently sloping side of the Wolds, crossing chalk streams and the Navigation canal to reach Burton Agnes with its medieval manor & Kilham house, interesting church and excellent Elizabethan house and gardens (open daily 24 miles (38km) Apr-Oct). Up onto the Wolds again and from Driffield following Roman Road into the former market village of Kilham, then ’s large pond and back to Driffield, the self-proclaimed ‘capital of the Wolds’. Driffield and Nafferton are both on the Coast railway line.
