His irrepressible energy, quick wit, and vivid story telling take audiences on a hilarious ride from beginning to end. This was evident in his recent stand out performance on George Lopez's new hit Talk Show, "Lopez Tonight" on TBS. He became the 2nd comedian ever to perform on the show. Ruben talks honestly about his life, and has insightful observations that bring audiences together no matter their age, race, creed, or color. In 2009, he was hand picked by Russell Peters to perform on the Showtime Network Special, "Russell Peters Presents", which exposed him to a brand new international audience. Other Stand Up appearances include: CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson", "Comics Unleashed" on ABC, "HBO's Comedy Showcase, "NBC's "Friday Nights", and B.E.T's "Comic View", just to name a few. "I grew up in an all black neighborhood, went to an all Mexican high school, went to an all white church and shopped at a lot of Asian stores," he quips. Ruben's upbringing was the foundation for his universal appeal. His undeniable charisma, and spontaneity make him a crowd favorite every where he goes. Ruben's talents have garnered him many honors including being chosen as one of the "Best of the fest Comics"at HBO's prestigious U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. Ruben has also toured extensively with Jamie Foxx, George Lopez, and Cedric The Entertainer. As well as performing for U.S. troops around the world. As well as being a gifted Stand Up Comedian, he is also a very accomplished actor with guest star appearances on "The Jamie Foxx Show" and a recurring role on "Pensacola Ruben Paul At The World Famous Laugh Factory Wings of Gold." Walter Latham Biography
Walter Latham Often referred to as "The King of Comedy,” Walter Latham is grateful for the humble upbringing and everyday challenges that shaped his early life, and instilled in him a fierce passion that led to his success as a business mogul and humanitarian. Born to a single mother in East New York, Brooklyn, Latham soon found himself in a similar situation, becoming a father at the young age of 18, and struggling to get by with odd jobs and a brief stint in the United States Air Force. At 20, he caught a break with a permanent position at the American Express Call Center in Greensboro, NC and was thrilled to finally provide healthcare for his son, even though he knew he was bound for something greater. Inspiration soon struck Latham, after attending a performance by his childhood friend, MC Lyte, when he realized his calling was to produce concerts. He borrowed money from his mother and produced his first concert in a nightclub. The headline act didn’t show and Latham had to refund the patrons their money but what he learned from this unfortunate experience would change his path forever. Latham decided to produce more concerts but mitigate his losses by soliciting sponsorships. He wrote and mailed 50 letters to various corporations about promoting a southeast tour with the hottest comedians. When Coors Brewing Company expressed interest, Latham soon found himself, at age 21, standing in a boardroom of top executives pitching his comedy idea. His first comedy tour featured Chris Tucker and Bill Bellamy and Coors was so impressed they asked Latham to do another.
