They will work closely with other services in the community, to make health services better for patients. Your GP will still be a GP surgery. You will still be able to make an appointment in the normal way to see your doctor. But your GP will also be doing other things. Our User Panel 7 Working with our patients is important to us. We want to find out what our patients think to make health services meet their needs better. Our user panel is made up of patients from some of our GP surgeries. The user panel works with us to make sure we are listening to patients, carers and the public when we plan and buy health services. We visit groups such as The Advocacy Project to find out what people with learning disabilities think. Their views help us plan the right health services to meet your needs. Our User Panel 8 Our user group is looking at these things Patient Groups – The user group will put together groups of patients that will work with their GP surgeries to make the services better. Community Groups – The user group will make a system of talking to lots of different groups of people when we look at local health services. Getting the right service – The user group will work with us to buy the right services and make other services better. Our User Panel 9 Our user group is looking at these things Being clear – The user group will make sure we are clear that what we are doing is the best thing for our patients.
