Darryl Worley Wade Né Le 31 Octobre, 1964 À Memphis, Dans Le Comté De Hardin Au Tennessee, Est Un Artiste Américain De Country Music Memphis Darryl Worley Wade né le 31 Octobre, 1964 à Memphis, dans le comté de Hardin au Tennessee, est un artiste Américain de Country Music. Sa famille déménage à Pyburn, la capitale mondiale du Catfish (Poisson- chat), où il grandit avec ses deux frères, Tommy et Barry dans cette ville du Tennessee. A 40 ans, son père Tommy Worley quitte l’emploi qu’il occupait dans une papeterie pour devenir prédicateur méthodiste. Sa mère Bonnie chante dans la chorale de l'église. Il a également un grand-père Jone, musicien de Bluegrass, qui joue du Banjo; ce dernier dirigeait aussi un Night Club le « Oakdale. C’est ainsi que Darryl apprend à aimer la musique: il joue de l’harmonica dès l’âge de 5 ans et de la guitare à 8 ans grâce à son grand-père. Il chante avec une voix de baryton. La première chanson qu’il apprend à jouer est ‘’ The Darryl avec ses parents Wildwood Flower ‘’ sur une guitare ‘’ Harmony’’. Darryl Worley fait ses études au ‘’ Martin Methodist Collège ‘’, puis à ‘’ l’University of North Alabama’’ et obtient un diplôme avec mention très bien en biologie et en chimie. Très sportif, il joue un temps au basket ball. Après avoir obtenu ses diplômes, il connait des périodes instables. Martin Methodist College & Université Il a fait des recherches en biologie à Tuscumbia en Alabama, puis retourne à Hardin County au Tennessee pour y être enseignant quelques temps à l’école. Darryl fait plusieurs métiers : représentant de commerce en poissonnerie à la Tennessee River, ouvrier dans une papeterie, commercial pour une marque de voiture, charpentier, ouvrier dans le bâtiment, dans les fermes. Il trouve un travail dans la vente de produits chimiques à Bâton Rouge en Louisiane. Pendant toute cette période d’instabilité professionnelle, il ne délaisse pas la musique et travaille avec acharnement à l’écriture de chansons en faisant des maquettes. Il mène de pair ses activités professionnelles et joue dans des clubs le week-end et les soirs en semaine occasionnellement. Les premiers concerts sur lesquels il touchera un cachet se feront au Back Porch Restaurant & Bar à Shiloh dans le Tennessee. Compositeur talentueux et laborieux, il signe en 1994 un accord avec FAME Studios à Muscle Shoals en Alabama. Il écrit des chansons pour 150 $ par semaine. Ensuite Darryl abandonne son activité professionnelle pour se lancer dans la Country Music et en faire son métier à part entière. En 1994, il se rend à Nashville et rencontre près du Music Row, Jason Houser qui a travaillé pour FAME puis pour EMI à Nashville. Darryl joue quatre chansons devant Jason Houser dont « A Good Day To Run ». Suite à cette audition, il signe son premier contrat. Chez Emi Mais Darryl reviendra vers sa terre natale pour jouer dans le « Savannah Moose Lodge ». Puis il écrit pour des artistes comme George Jones. Il fait son chemin à Nashville et en 1999 il obtient l'accord du label qui va booster sa carrière. Une de ses premières chansons de compositeur est ‘’Archer Park's’’ et fait partie de son premier album en 1994. Son approche musicale a contribué à faire de Darryl un des piliers de la musique country moderne. Son intégrité musicale incontestée lui a valu un succès enviable auprès du public américain et une réputation d'artiste country qui s’inscrit dans la tradition, un artiste qui ne suit pas les tendances ou les modes, mais plutôt ses propres convictions. Darryl signe un contrat avec le label DreamWorks Records Nashville en 2000, avec qui il va publier quatre albums : Hard Rain Don't Last (2000), I Miss My Friend (2002), Have You Forgotten? (2003), et Darryl Worley en 2004. En Mars 2000, sort le premier des quatre singles de son premier album "When You Need My Love. " Après cette chanson sortent « A Good Day to Run ", "Second Wind" et "Sideways". Respectivement, ces singles se classent sur les Billboard Charts country. L’album est co-produit avec Frank Rogers et James Stroud. Après une pause, il enregistre en 2009 son album « Sounds Like Life » avec le label Stroudavarious Records, fondé en 2008 par James Stroud. La chanson « Tequila On Ice » rentrera dans les Charts à la 44 ème place. Puis ce sera « Sounds, Like Life To Me » qui sera au Top 20. Shortly after his birth in Memphis, Darryl’s family moved to Nashville and it was only in later life that he decided to make singing his career, songwriting being his initial focus and only then after having performed in numerous honky tonks between Tennessee and Alabama and taking diverse odd jobs which had little or nothing to do with music. His first record deal with DreamWorks Records came around in 1999, adding his name to an already rich roster of artists such as Toby Keith, Randy Travis, Emerson Drive, Jessica Andrews and Jimmy Wayne. This first deal brings forth Darryl’s debut album Hard Rain Don’t Last , released in 2000 and produced by Frank Rogers (Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Josh Turner, Phil Vassar, Trace Adkins) and James Stroud (Clay Walker, Tracy Lawrence, Clint Black, Toby Keith, Lorrie Morgan). Reactions to this album are very positive, seeing as 3 of its 4 singles find their way into the Top 20 Us Country chart. Almost every song on the album is penned by Darryl himself and in his numerous interviews he cites Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, George Jones and Hank Williams as his idols and sources of inspiration.
