    INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT: TOM WATSON Wednesday, June 22, 2011 MODERATOR: I'd like to welcome Tom Watson to the Dick's Sporting Goods Open, his first visit back to En-Joie since 1976. Tom, coming off of a big win about a month ago at the Senior PGA Championship, maybe just get us started, talk about that, and then where your game is right now. TOM WATSON: Well, thanks. My game is actually in pretty good shape right now. I played in a tournament that I started in Kansas City five years ago called the Watson Challenge, trying to determine the best player we can in the city. It's only for the Kansas City golfers, the amateurs and the pros. We had the tournament there and I ended up winning that tournament and still kept the challenge alive. Why can't anybody beat a 61-year old, broken-down pro? I actually played pretty well, drove the ball well there, that's -- I'm playing pretty well right now. On this golf course, you have to drive the ball well, and if you don't drive the ball well, you're going to get into the rough and you're going to be -- make a lot of bogeys on this kind of course. It's in excellent shape. I'm probably at somewhat of a disadvantage because I haven't played this course, I don't remember it, since 1976 and a lot of the players who have played it the last four years on our Tour, so I hope to get to know it a little bit better and I have a chance at the end of Sunday to have a chance to win.

On June 6, the Foundation’s name officially changed to the Sunshine Through Golf Foundation. CDGA president Robert Berry unveiled the Foundation’s new logo: a smiling golf ball reflecting sun rays.     NEXT STOP: PGA TOUR / 2011 Over the final weeks of the 2010 season, the Nationwide Tour is tracking the competition for a spot in "The 25". The top-25 money winners at the conclusion of next week's Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island in Charleston, S.C. (Oct. 28-31) will be awarded PGA TOUR cards for 2011. Miccosukee Championship winner Jason Gore put himself in contention to recapture his PGA TOUR card. The Californian came to Miami 124th on the money list. While he still has a lot of work to do, he arrives in Ponte Vedra Beach this week 39th. Scott Gutschewski is in a strong position to earn a return trip to the PGA TOUR as he grabbed a T2 finish to move from 27th to 18th. After missing his last five cuts, Chris Nallen fell four spots and now occupies the bubble position at No. 25. He has a $2,853 cushion over David Hearn , whose was in contention for the win in Miami only to play the last 11 holes in five-over par. At one point he was projected to finish the week inside the top 15 on the money list. The Canadian started the week at No. 30. The Nationwide Tour is in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. for the first time this week, playing the Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open presented by Planters at TPC Sawgrass / Dye's Valley Course at PGA TOUR headquarters. You earned your 19th PGA TOUR title here at the Wells Fargo Championship. Obviously a very special win for you, this is the site of your first PGA TOUR win and it's your third win at Quail Hollow Club. Just thoughts on the win today. RORY McILROY: Yeah, this place has been good to me. Ever since I first set eyes on this golf course, I loved it from the first time I played it, and that love has sort of been reciprocated back. I've played so well here over the years. I think this is the first time I've ever won an event for the third time, so that's pretty cool to do it here. And yeah, just I did -- jeez, there's been so many things that -- I'll get into it a little bit later, but I didn't even think I was going to tee off in this tournament Wednesday night. Then even if I had had a morning tee time on Thursday, I probably would have pulled out because I hurt my neck on Wednesday afternoon and couldn't make a backswing. It just sort of, everything aligned. I was off on Thursday afternoon, I got enough treatment so that I could play and then progressively got a little bit better as the week went on. Yeah, it's just amazing how these little things, they all add up.

    CONTROLLER Sherwood Country Club was designed to provide the ultimate in club facilities and services. The championship golf course was personally created as a signature design by Jack Nicklaus in 1989 and is acclaimed in the world’s most prestigious golfing circles. Most recently in 2016, the golf course went through a full restoration with Jack Nicklaus and his design team. Sherwood is truly one of the finest country club facilities in Southern California. The Controller reports to the COO/General Manager, and the direct reports are AP & AR. Other key relationships are across all departments and levels, interacting with different levels of the organization regularly, including senior leadership. The Club Controller will direct the financial affairs of the Club and prepare financial analysis of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. The Club Controller is responsible for the Club's financial plans, its accounting practices, the conduct of its relationships with lending institutions and the financial community, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves supervision over general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, and budgetary controls.
