The Points toward a Championship shall be awarded to the Winners Dog and Bitch of each breed or variety based on the actual number of dogs or bitches competing in that breed or variety. If the dog designated Winners Dog or Winners Bitch is also awarded Best of Breed or Variety, the dogs of both sexes that have been entered for Best of Breed or Variety competition and that have been defeated in such competition, shall be counted in addition to the dogs that competed in the regular classes for its sex in calculating championship points If the dog designated Winners Dog or Winners Bitch is also awarded Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed or Variety, the dogs of its own sex that have been entered for Best of Breed or Variety competition that have been defeated in competition for Best of Opposite Sex, shall be counted in addition to the dogs that competed in the regular classes for it sex in calculating championship points After points have been computed for Winners Dog and Winners Bitch subject to the above two stipulations, the dog awarded the Best of Winners shall be credited with the number of points calculated for Winners Dog or Winners Bitch, whichever is greater. If no points are available for the Best of Winners, the number of regular class dogs in both sexes are added together and compared to the point schedule. If the total sum of regular class dogs and bitches meets or exceeds the number of competitors needed for one point in its sex, the Best of Winners will receive one championship point. In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, or that is dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge, or from which all awards are withheld shall not be included. Any dog which shall have won fifteen points shall become a Champion of Record, if six or more of said points shall have been won at two shows with a rating of three or more championship points each and under two different judges, and some one or more of the balance of said points shall have been won under some other judge or judges than the two judges referred to above. For schedule of points corresponding to this dog show, please see breed heading. NOTICE: An agent is a person 18 years or older, other than an owner or co-owner, designated by the owner or co-owner of an exhibit to be handler of, and responsible for, the dog at the show. Agents' names may be followed by the initials which represent their AKC-recognized professional group affiliation or certification. Persons seeking the services of such an agent should familiarize themselves with the requirements for professional group membership or certifications which are available online at akc.org. (covers the cost of the rosette) Payment may be made by check mailed to Cay Ireland, PO Box 92, Willow Spring, NC 27592- 9998 Due to requests in prior years from those that will not be exhibited due to distance, bitches that blew coat, or those that have unfortunately passed prior to the showcase, everyone will be awarded a rosette.Duplicates can be ordered as well but all awarded rosettes must be paid for in advance and no later than closing date. If you will not be there and want the rosette to be mailed, there is an additional $10.00 charge. You do not need to be present to have this spectacular rosette awarded for all your hard work and devotion to Shelties in Conformation for the year 2020. The invitation is sent to the owners of the top winning shelties who earned Best of Breed in Specialty and All Breed competition only. The summer season is over (altogether now FLYBALL aaaaaagh!) the last outside event being Longleat, magnificent venue - shame about the weather, it was RECORD only marginally better than the previous year but on occasions we did see the sun and at least the rain was November - December 1994 warm. Apologies to those who were kept hanging about, I realise for those of you who had only come for the flyball it was quite a protracted day, but I am sure you will understand it wasn't any easier for those organising the event. It becomes a bit of a pain to have to move the racing lanes and continually cover up the electronics and retest them prior to restarting FULL REPORT INSIDE again, but on the plus side, it was nice rubbing up to The BFA would like to thank all the sponsors of some of you between the showers in the intimacy of that Flyball in 1994 for their support & generosity: tent. It almost became a statistic for the guinness book of records. As for the racing - it was as good as ever. Understandably no records broken but given the conditions, some fast times, the Wasps turning in the fastest time of the day with an 18.49 run, in one of the heats. I would like to take the opportunity on behalf of all flyballers, to thank all those who have put on shows throughout the year, and your helpers. I do realise its not easy and on occasions you can well do without some of the hassle that accompanies these events, without you, there would be no sport, much less an association.

Alan Curtis Kay The Mac OS X operating system represents a rather successful coming together of paradigms, ideologies, and technologies that have often resisted each other in the past. A good example is the cordial relationship that exists between the command-line and graphical interfaces in Mac OS X. The system is a result of the trials and tribulations of Apple and NeXT, as well as their user and developer communities. Mac OS X exemplifies how a capable system can result from the direct or indirect efforts of corporations, academic and research communities, the Open Source and Free Software movements, and, of course, individuals. Apple has been around since 1976, and many accounts of its history have been told. If the story of Apple as a company is fascinating, so is the technical history of Apple's operating systems. In this chapter,[1] we will trace the history of Mac OS X, discussing several technologies whose confluence eventually led to the modern-day Apple operating system.     Album Review: Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan & T.Rex (BMG) September 16, 2020 A stellar ensemble of artists which include Nick Cave, Lucinda Williams, Todd Rundgren, Joan Jett, two sons of John Lennon amongst others, lay down a worthy and often inspired double album’s worth of classic Marc Bolan songs. Preceding his induction to the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame later in November this year. Angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection. Alan Ginsberg’s Howl and the Beats were one creative well from which the persona of Marc Bolan arose. He regarded himself as a poet foremost, around which he constructed melodies. Variations on twelve bar blues. Published his collected poems The Warlock of Love in 1969. Sold 40,000 but not well received by some critics. Producer Hal Willner regarded him as a serious writer of the calibre of Kurt Weill, Thelonious Monk and Charles Mingus. He passed away in April this year. Grateful for all his past inuences. Played in skife bands. In a trio with Helen Shapiro. Took notice of Phil Spector, Bob Dylan, Dion and the Belmonts. Looked like Dylan for a while. Marc’s father was a Russian Jew. At some point Feld became Bolan. To mirror Chuck Berry, he then became the English Poet of Rock’n’Roll. From 1970 to 1973 he took over from the recently split Beatles in popularity. Appeared in Ringo Starr’s lm Born to Boogie. Started Glam Rock. David Bowie took lessons and came up with Ziggy Stardust. We needed him to give us something to listen to when all that Prog Rock noodling was spilling over.

Literacy and Learning - features are built-in and accommodate learning disabilities to improve productivity and academic performance. Features include : Text to speech, spaces, grammar and spelling check, word completion, Finder, iCal, and Grapher. Vision - features are built-in and allow visually impaired and blind persons to access the computer. Features include: VoiceOver, screen magnification, text to speech, and refreshable Braille display support. Hearing - features are built-in to facilitate deaf or hard of hearing persons with tools to access the computer. Features include : iChat, closed captioning, Photo Booth, GarageBand, and screen flashes for when an alert sounds. Physical and Motor Skills- features are built-in and provide support through keyboard, mouse, or trackpad for people with motor skill or physical challenges. Features include : Automator, sticky keys (key combinations in sequence instead of simultaneous), slow keys (adds a delay between key strokes to avoid mistakes), mouse keys (using buttons on the keyboard instead of trackpad or mouse), multi- touch trackpad, Inkwell, and keyboard shortcuts.     The Cairn Terrier Club of Canada Versatility Award Program Versatility Award: To earn a Versatility Award, a dog must demonstrate versatility through achievement in a variety of dog sports and activities. Versatility Excellent Award: To earn a Versatility Excellent Award, a dog must not only show versatility through achievement in a variety of dog sports and activities, but must also demonstrate advancement beyond a beginner’s level in several of these activities. This award thus has a requirement for a minimum of 2 points per activity in at least 4 Categories. A dog that earns the Versatility Excellent award must also demonstrate that it conforms to the Breed Standard in structure/temperament and/or function, resulting in a requirement for Conformation and/or Earthdog/Barn Hunt titles. Definitions: Category: A group of related sports or activities. Activity An individual activity or sport within a designated category. Where there is more than one activity per category, points may be claimed for each activity. Level: Title or performance level (each line in the table represents a level). Where more than one titling organization offers titles for a particular activity, points will be awarded for only a single titling organization at each level. Please note that not all titles are awarded points. • For some titling organizations, only higher-level titles are awarded points (for example, points are awarded in Barn Hunt for titles at the Open level and above, while points are awarded for Tricks titles at the Advanced level and above). • No additional points are awarded for titles higher than those listed in the tables.
