Roush Fenway Returns to “Thunder Valley” Bristol Roush Fenway Racing Heads Back Through the Cumberland Gap to Johnson City, Tenn Bristol Motor Speedway, .533-mile @roushfenway Sprint Cup Series Roush Fenway Returns to “Thunder Valley” Bristol Roush Fenway Racing heads back through the Cumberland Gap to Johnson City, Tenn. for the second time this Sat. 8/22/15 - 7:00 PM ET season as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) returns to the Bristol Motor Speedway, a track that has seen a NBCSN, PRN, Sirius 90 Roush Fenway Ford visit Victory Lane 18 times. Trevor Bayne, No. 6 Tennessee Love AdvoCare Ford Fusion Roush Fenway has called Victory Lane at Bristol home in all three of NASCAR’s major divisions, including 11 NSCS wins. In addition, RFR has five wins at Bristol in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) and two wins in the Greg Biffle, No. 16 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS). Cheez-It Ford Fusion Runner Up Ricky Stenhouse Jr, No. 17 Roush Fenway’s history at Bristol began on April 10, 1988 with the No. 6 NSCS car earning a second-place finish. Edwards led the final Elliott Sadler, No. 1 78 laps of the event to earn the victory. OneMain Financial Ford 10 Years and Going at “The Last Great Colosseum” Bubba Wallace, No. 6 Roush Fenway’s history at Bristol has been that of hot streaks, inlcuding trips to Victory Lane in 10 of the last 14 Ford Ecoboost Ford seasons at the famed short track. Roush Fenway swept the track in 2003 and put a NSCS car in Victory Lane at least once in every season from 2002-2008. Ryan Reed, No. 16 Lilly/American Diabetes Ford Tale of the Tape Roush Fenway has started 190 NSCS races at Bristol, recording a total of 11 victories, 47 top-five finishes, 81 Chris Buescher, No. 60 top-10 finishes, an average finish of 15.9 and has led 3,396 laps. Roush Performance Ford Roush Fenway BristolWins Thunder on the Track 1993-2 Martin Cup Roush Fenway has earned five victories, 23 top-five finishes, 36 top-10 finishes and an average finish of 14.1 at 1998-2 Martin Cup Bristol in the XFINITY Series. Former Roush Fenway driver David Ragan earned the organization’s most recent 2002-1 Busch Cup XFINITY victory at the .533-mile short track in the Aug. 2009 event. 2003-1 Busch Cup 2003-2 Busch Cup Dash-4-Cash 2004-1 Busch Cup Following Elliott Sadler’s fifth-place finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, he is now eligible for the third round 2005-2 Kenseth Cup of the Dash-4-Cash program. (Saturday, June 30, 2012) – Sam Hornish Jr. continued his string of rock-solid finishes in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. He finished sixth in Friday night’s Feed the Children 300 at Kentucky Speedway. The driver of the No. 12 Wurth Dodge Challenger posted his eighth top-10 finish and third consecutive. He remains fourth in the series championship standings, 33 points behind leader Austin Dillon. “That’s the thing that you’ve got to do; you’ve got to be consistent,” Hornish said. “We need to keep being smart and doing the things that we’re doing. We’re chipping away at it. We’d love to do it all in about two races and be leading the points but it’s not going to happen that way. We just need to be smart about what we do.” Brad Keselowski overcame the loss of track position early in the race to finish seventh, his eighth top-10 finish in 11 starts this season. Keselowski was running third when he pitted during the first caution of the race on lap 26. The crew had an issue with the right-front during the stop plus receiving a penalty for pitting outside the pit box and a tire violation. Keselowski restarted 29th but was able to work his way back onto the top five by lap 130.
