The Purple stretched the lead to 17-7 on its next possession PURPLE when Flynn connected with Doucet for an 8-yard score with 20 10:49 left to play in the second quarter. The Purple’s score was WHITE set up by a Troy Giddens of a Perrilloux pass that 14 gave the Tigers the ball at the White 17-yard line. The Purple Matt Flynn squad scored three plays later. I liked the format. “We have improved this spring. We got a lot done during our 15 workouts. We still have a lot of work to do, but we are heading in the right direction.” Other standouts during the spring game included LaFell with three catches for 50 yards; Trindon Holliday with two receptions for 65 yards; Keiland Williams with 46 yards rushing on eight carries and Broussard with 32 yards and one score on eight attempts.
