In accordance with MAS rules, upon his John Bolton joined the Manchester retirement as President he served as Astronomical Society (MAS) sometime during Immediate Past President under the presidency the summer of 1967, although it was not until of Ray Brierley until the election of Kevin the General Meeting in October of that year Kilburn as President in 1991 when John took that his membership was recorded in the MAS on the office of Vice President. There were four Register of Members. Vice Presidents in the MAS at this time in its history. This structure continued until 1996 when the management of the MAS underwent radical change and the number of council posts was reduced to a total of 10 with three of the Vice President positions being abolished along with the re-classification of others. At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in 1996, John was elected to the sole remaining post of Vice President and continued in this capacity until the AGM in April 2007. Throughout his almost 40 years of membership, John’s enthusiasm was infectious and many current members owe much to his passion for astronomy.

    Corridor Manchester: North Campus Strategic Regeneration Framework May 2017 Introduction This Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) has been prepared for Manchester City Council, with the intention that it can be used as a guide for the future redevelopment of Manchester’s North Campus – a site that is located south-west of Piccadilly Station; to the west of the Mayfield site and to the east of Oxford Road. The North Campus is one of the few large, centrally located sites in Manchester city centre yet to undergo major regeneration. There are vast opportunities that have been identified in the area that will allow this part of Manchester to reconnect with the city and with other redevelopments in its vicinity. It is anticipated that the North Campus will be able to provide and deliver numerous social, economic and environmental benefits to Manchester and to the wider North West region. This SRF analyses the existing location and identifies key characteristics which make North Campus a unique area of the city. An indicative masterplan has been proposed which brings together the key objectives and principles described in this framework, and sets out a framework that will help to ensure the success of the North Campus development.     MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL REPORT FOR RESOLUTION To: Executive DATE: 12th September 2007 SUBJECT: Inclusion of Excluded Roads into City Council Parking Area REPORT OF: Strategic Director of Neighbourhood Services ___________________________________________________________________ PURPOSE OF REPORT To inform the Executive that the Statutory Instrument granting decriminalised parking enforcement powers in respect of certain roads originally excluded from the Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area in the City of Manchester was made on 14th June 2007; to set the penalty and other additional charges (Penalty Charge, Removal and Vehicle Pound storage fees) for those roads now included in the Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area. RECOMMENDATIONS It is recommended that [a] The Executive note that the Statutory Instrument has been made granting decriminalised parking enforcement powers to the City Council on the roads specified in Appendix 1 of this report, previously excluded from the Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area. [b] The Executive agree to set the level of penalty and other additional charges in respect of decriminalised parking enforcement in relation to these roads as detailed at Appendix 2 of this report, and reaffirm that these levels of charges apply in respect of contraventions of on street and off street parking places orders waiting and loading restrictions etc throughout all areas of Manchester designated as Permitted Parking and Special Parking Areas. [c] The City Solicitor be authorised to advertise the level of penalty and other additional charges as detailed in Appendix 2 of this report.     General Information for the Fallowfield Campus 2014/2015 WELCOME TO THE FALLOWFIELD CAMPUS This information booklet is designed to help answer some essential questions you might need to ask when you first arrive. Please read it in conjunction with your Terms and Conditions and the other Hall information in your welcome pack. The Wardens, tutors and student committees are here to assist you and will do their best to introduce themselves during Welcome week. Tutors can be either contacted via the Duty Tutor mobile number which is published in your pastoral arrangements, or by contacting Campus reception .The duty tutor is on duty in the evenings and at weekends to deal with emergencies outside of regular office hours. Reception Services Fallowfield Campus Central Reception, located at Owens Park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Staff on duty can be contacted on 0161 306 9900 Central Administration Central Administration for Fallowfield Campus is located at Campus Reception. It is open Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. This is where you can pay your residential fees if you have not arranged a direct debit .Please note payments can only be made between 0900hrs – 1600hrs.
