Michael Flaherty championed the passage and adoption of the Community Preservation Act (CPA), which has now collectively granted an approximate $42 million for 91 projects across the city devoted to affordable housing, historic preservation and open space. Michael Flaherty has consistently called for increased access to treatment on-demand for those suffering from substance-abuse disorders and mental health issues, along with advocating for expansion of resources for community health centers across Boston.
