The objective is to educate and inform area residents about the history of this area when occupied by Tribes of the Nez Perce, Yakama, Wanapum, and Wasco natives. The program presents the art work in beading on buckskin, use of bird feathers, weaving of reeds into lodge coverings, and animal hair into blankets. Our programs have been very popular with adults and children. We have received funding from the Yakama Tribe and ‘Mldhorse Foundation, Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation. They may, also, ask those indicating they are staying overnight where they are staying and if they would like a brochure on Richland Hotels and Motels. (Local HMs should supply brochures a few days prior to event in November 2018). White Bluffs will arrange to have a “clicker counter” at the event and will take a head count, also. The project is to let visitors know about these added attractions. Provide a detailed outline of the Marketing Plan for the event to be funded by HotellMotel Tax funds.
