Established in 1957 by Harold and Irene Trusler, the Trusler Foundation seeks PAVILION to improve the quality of life in Emporia and surrounding areas. After great success in the agriculture business, as heads of the Trusler-Cook Grain Company, the Truslers wished to share their good fortune with the community of Emporia. The Trusler Sports Complex is one of the many projects made possible by the Trusler Foundation. Starting in December of 2005, renovations began to improve the Trusler Sports Complex. One of the additions is the Hanna clubhouse overlooking the Baseball and Softball teams’ home fields. Named after major project contributors, Chuck and Doris Hanna, the new Hanna Clubhouse includes a viewing deck for fans as well as new lockerrooms, facilities and coaches offices. Glennen Field, where the Hornets play their home baseball games, THOMAS FIELD CANNON FIELD was named in honor of Emporia State University President, Dr. Robert E. Glennen. Dr. Glennen was the thirteenth president of Emporia State University and held the position from 1985 to 1997. In addition to Glennen Field, three other fields are part of the Trusler Sports Complex. Turnbull Field, where the Emporia State Softball team plays their home games, is named in honor of J. Michael Turnbull, president and trustee of the Trusler Foundation. Cannon Field is named in honor of Joe Cannon, a lifelong Emporian who provided the lead gift of land that has become Trusler Sports Complex. Thomas Field is named in honor of Tom D. Thomas, treasurer and trustee of the Trusler Foundation. In 2009, further renovations were undertaken. A new artificial turf has been added to Glennen Field to replace the infield. Money for the project was donated by the Trusler Foundation who has been instru- mental in the cultivation of the complex since it opened. Both Turnbull and Glennen Field also got new scoreboards during the 2009 season thanks to the gift by the Bill and Aloha Preston Family. The two boards will be state of the art Daktronics wireless scoreboards that will replace the originals from the complex’s opening in 1994. And in November and December 2009 the Hornets completed their indoor hitting facilty to fin- ish the renovations. 2 2010 SCHEDULE Feb. 13 at Drury (DH) Springfield, Mo. 1 p.m. Feb. 14 at Drury (1-9) Springfield, Mo. 12 noon Feb. 16 at Central Oklahoma (1-9) Edmond, Okla. 2:30 p.m. Feb. 19 Colorado School of Mines (1-9) EMPORIA 3 p.m. Feb. 20 Colorado School of Mines (DH) EMPORIA 1 p.m. Feb. 21 Colorado School of Mines (1-9) EMPORIA 12 noon Feb. 26 Truman (1-9) EMPORIA 2 p.m. Feb. 27 Truman (DH) EMPORIA 1 p.m. Feb. 28 Truman (1-9) EMPORIA 12 noon March 5 at Fort Hays State (1-9) Hays, Kan. 4 p.m. March 6 at Fort Hays State (DH) Hays, Kan. 1 p.m. March 7 at Fort Hays State (1-9) Hays, Kan. 12 noon March 9 Bemidji State (1-9) EMPORIA 3 p.m. March 10 Bemidji State (1-9) EMPORIA 3 p.m. March 12 Central Missouri (1-9) EMPORIA 5 p.m. March 13 Central Missouri (DH) EMPORIA 1 p.m. March 14 Central Missouri (1-9) EMPORIA 12 noon March 16 Wayne State (1-9) EMPORIA 3 p.m. March 17 Central Oklahoma (1-9) EMPORIA 2:30 p.m. March 19 at Southwest Baptist (7/9) Bolivar, Mo. 1 p.m. March 20 at Southwest Baptist (7/9) Bolivar, Mo. 12 noon March 23 Bethany (1-9) EMPORIA 6 p.m. March 26 at Nebraska-Omaha (1-9) Omaha, Neb. 4 p.m. March 27 at Nebraska-Omaha (DH) Omaha, Neb. 1 p.m. March 28 at Nebraska-Omaha (1-9) Omaha, Neb. 12 noon March 29 at Wayne State (1-9) Wayne, Neb. 1 p.m. April 2 at Northwest Missouri (7/9) Maryville, Mo. 1 p.m. April 3 at Northwest Missouri (7/9) Maryville, Mo. 12 noon April 6 Rockhurst (1-9) EMPORIA 6 p.m. April 9 Pittsburg State (1-9) EMPORIA 6 p.m. April 10 Pittsburg State (DH) EMPORIA 1 p.m. April 11 Pittsburg State (1-9) EMPORIA 12 noon April 16 Missouri Southern (1-9) EMPORIA 6 p.m. April 17 Missouri Southern (DH) EMPORIA 1 p.m. April 18 Missouri Southern
