MCA-700 Midline/Reissue Series
MCA 700 Discography by David Edwards, Mike Callahan & Patrice Eyries © 2018 by Mike Callahan MCA-700 Midline/Reissue Series: By the time the reissue series reached MCA-700, most of the ABC reissues had been accomplished in the MCA 500-600s. MCA decided that when full price albums were converted to midline prices, the albums needed a new number altogether rather than just making the administrative change. In this series, we get reissues of many MCA albums that were only one to three years old, as well as a lot of Decca reissues. Rather than pay the price for new covers and labels, most of these were just stamped with the new numbers in gold ink on the front covers, with the same jackets and labels with the old catalog numbers. MCA 700 - We All Have a Star - Wilton Felder [1981] Reissue of ABC AA 1009. HEARTACHE TONIGHT a TRIBUTE to the EAGLES! Technical Rider
HEARTACHE TONIGHT A TRIBUTE TO THE EAGLES! Technical Rider Heartache Tonight is a six-piece band; 3 guitars, keys, bass and drums. We travel with our own sound tech who runs 4 sets of wireless in-ear monitors for the singers. We do require 4 boom stands for vocals and 3 floor wedge monitor speakers; 2 for the stage left guitar players and one for center stage. (See Stage Plot) Appropriate mic stands and mic cables for 3 guitar amplifiers and 6-piece drum kit. Direct boxes for keyboards, bass and acoustic instruments. We typically carry all our own microphones and backline gear. Contact Sound Engineer Ron Willhoff at [email protected] for more detailed information. Please provide two 8’ X 8’ X 2’ (or equivalent) risers, one for keyboards and one for drums. (See Stage Plot for placement). If a lighting scheme is available, we prefer a three-color wash for the stage lighting and 6 specials. Please provide a qualified tech to run lights. We’d like the lighting to highlight what’s happening onstage, without being obtrusive. A “ballad” lighting set-up for the more dramatic songs (i.e., Desperado) definitely adds to the experience for the audience. If a projector and screen are available we do have a slide show/backdrop we like to use when feasible. We prefer 3 hours for load-in and sound check under normal circumstances. Please provide the easiest access possible and parking for our Ford Transit van and 5 X 10 trailer. Extra hands for the heavy lifting are always appreciated. -

Intro CHRISTIAN: Hello. You’re listening to A2er The Session. My name is Chris;an Cummings, and this is Season 0, Episode 5 with my good pal, produCer/engineer/mixer David Cole. You know David’s work with The Steve Miller Band, CAKE, Melissa Etheridge, huge hits with Bob Seger, RiChard Marx; he also worked with Tina Turner. He also worked on some of Christopher Guest’s projeCts – “A Mighty Wind,” “Best in Show,” “Wai;ng for Guffman.” He was a staff engineer at Capitol, among other things, and has had a very storied Career. I’ve known David Cole – or DC, as a lot of people Call him – for several years, and I Can’t say enough great things about the guy. First off, he donated his ;me to be my guinea pig as the first-ever guest on this podCast. What you’re about to hear is the first aZempt I ever made at doing this podCast, and he graciously sat down to let me piCk his brain about his Career, and he didn’t need to do it. So I really, really appreCiate his ;me and energy and effort. The dude is very talented and has a lot of valuable informa;on to share with all of us. In fact, I should men;on that A2er The Session – the name of this podCast, yep – I owe Credit to David Cole for that name. He Came up with it a2er a Conversa;on prior to the podCast, and it stuCk. If you guys have been enjoying he shows up to this point, do me a huge favor and rate us in iTunes and share the podCast with your friends.
