NEW YORK, NEW YORK The Rangers are playing their 17th consecutive game in the New York Metropolitan Area; the stretch of 17 consecutive games in the New York Metropolitan Area is the most that the Rangers have had in franchise history. LEADING THE WAY Since Mar. 17, several Rangers are among the NHL's leaders in various categories:

• Mika Zibanejad's 19 goals are the most in the NHL and his 37 points are the third-most in the NHL

• Adam Fox's 29 assists are the most in the NHL, his plus-19 rating is tied for the best in the NHL, and his 32 points are the fifth-most in the NHL

• Artemi Panarin's 25 assists are the third-most in the NHL and his 36 points are the fourth-most in the NHL

• Ryan Strome's 23 assists are the fifth-most in the NHL

MAGNIFICENT SEVEN The Rangers are one of seven NHL teams (and the only team in the MassMutual NHL East Division) that have averaged at least 3.15 goals per game and have averaged 2.70 goals against or fewer per game this season (Carolina, Colorado, Edmonton, Tampa Bay, Toronto, and Vegas).

TEAM EFFORT The Blueshirts are the only NHL team that has five players who have recorded at least 45 points in 2020-21 (no other team has more than three). New York is one of two NHL teams that have three players who have registered 20 or more goals this season (Pittsburgh).

GOALS GALORE New York ranks 11th in the NHL in goals per game this season (3.19). The Rangers will average at least 3.00 goals per game for the second consecutive season, marking the first time the team has averaged 3.00 or more goals per game in two straight seasons since 1995-96 and 1996-97. Including team goals awarded for a shootout win, the Rangers have tallied three or more goals in each of their 26 wins in 2020-21.

HOME SWEET HOME Tonight's game is the Rangers' final home game in 2020-21. The Blueshirts have won nine of their last 13 home games (9-4-0 record) and have earned at least one point in 11 of their last 15 home games (10-4-1 record). The Rangers will have a .500 points percentage or better at home for the 16th consecutive season (dating back to 2005-06), which is tied for the longest streak in franchise history (the first 16 seasons in franchise history from 1926- 27 – 1941-42).

PASS IT ON Artemi Panarin and Adam Fox are each averaging at least 0.80 assists per game this season. The Rangers have only had two seasons in franchise history which a forward and a defenseman have each averaged 0.80 or more assists per game (1991-92 and 1992-93 - Messier and Leetch). Fox and Panarin also rank sixth and seventh, respectively, in the NHL in assists this season. According to NHL Stats and Information, since expansion (1967-68), there have only been two seasons which the Rangers had a forward and a defenseman both rank among the top 10 in the NHL in assists (1991-92 – Messier and Leetch; 1996-97 – Gretzky and Leetch).

WHAT THE FOX SAYS Adam Fox leads NHL defensemen in points (47) and assists (42), ranks third in takeaways (35), and is tied for eighth in plus/minus rating (plus-21) in 2020-21. He has recorded 47 points and a plus-21 rating in 52 games this season after recording 42 points and a plus-22 rating in 70 games last season; only one defenseman in NHL history has recorded 40 or more points and a plus-20 rating or better in each of his first two seasons (Bourque). Fox is averaging 0.81 assists per game this season; only three Rangers defensemen have averaged at least 0.80 assists per game in one season (min. two games played) in franchise history (Leetch (four times), Park, and Zubov).

HART-EMI Artemi Panarin registered 58 points (17 goals, 41 assists), a plus-14 rating, and six penalty minutes in 42 games this season. He currently ranks fourth in the NHL in points per game (1.38) and is tied for second in the NHL in assists per game (min. two games played - 0.98) in 2020-21. Panarin's 0.98 assists per game average this season is the fourth-best by a Ranger in one season (min. two games played) in franchise history (Leetch - 1.00 in 1991- 92; Ratelle - 1.00 in 1971-72; Zubov - 0.99 in 1993-94). He averaged 1.38 points per game for the second consecutive season; he is the only Ranger who has averaged at least 1.30 points per game in two consecutive seasons in franchise history. Panarin is the ninth player in NHL history who averaged at least 1.35 points per game and 0.15 or fewer penalty minutes per game in the same season (min. 40 games played), along with Max Bentley (1942-43), Herb Cain (1943-44), (1943-44), Johnny Bucyk (1970-71), Jean Ratelle (1971-72), Mike Bossy (1983-84), Wayne Gretzky (1992-93), and Paul Kariya (1996-97); of the first eight who did so, six won the Lady Byng Trophy in that season.

MIKA MAGIC Mika Zibanejad leads the Rangers in goals this season (22); he has also led the Rangers in goals in each of the last three seasons (2017-18 – 2019-20). Should he finish the 2020-21 season as the team’s leader in goals, Zibanejad would become the second player in franchise history to lead the Rangers in goals in at least four consecutive seasons (Bill Cook – five consecutive seasons from 1928-29 – 1932-33). SPECIAL TEAMS The Blueshirts have outscored their opponent on special teams in 22 games in 2020-21 and have posted a 16-4-2 record in those 22 games.
