Yes, Merry Christmas to everyone from Audio is very good, Using inexpensive the WTFDA staff! Hard to believe it’s already amplified speakers w/ sub-woofer. Has December. It seems that July was just yesterday. But December it is, and you can volume and mute on remote. tell because the VUDs get thinner and the Display is the same size and color as the email list and the forums slow down as people Sangean, but can't be dimmed. Has similar go into hibernation for the winter months. Just info read-out too. remember that winter Es is possible. I Step-tunes with knob on unit, also on remember watching XHRIO 2 up here during remote (.02 steps, 95.7,95.9,96.1 etc.). Direct Es last February, so it can happen when entry on remote. Has seek and HD seek. 8 you’re not expecting it. presets for AM and FM each into FM1, FM2, AM1,AM2 just like the Sangean. It has the MEMBERS AND MORE look of a Sangean, but that's were it ends. This month we have one new WTFDA Runs cold--draws only 3 watts! Can be member and he is Earl Bronkar in rack mounted. Chillicothe, Ohio. Welcome Earl! Now for AM. Supplied loop is worthless. We’ve received renewals during the period Used my small Radio Shack tunable loop and of 10/17 to 11/14 from Russell Lay (NC), Bill got good results. Lots of HD flashing from Harms (MD), Ed MacDonald (MO), John NYC, Boston, Philly, etc. Even got a decode Adams (OR), David Wurl (WI), Marvin of 1060 KYW Philly-3 bars on the meter. Shults (IL), Dave Dennett (AR) and Matt My opinion is that it is not for dxing. But Sittel (NE). Thank you all for staying with us another year. used in a metro area or 20-25 miles from transmitters, it will satisfy the average listener. AVION HD TUNER --Jim Pizzi, 15 miles east of Rochester NY Radio Shack was clearing out this one OUR COVER PHOTO and selling it cheap, so Jim Pizzi bought one and reported on it. It’s okay, but nothing out of This month’s cover photo is an old the ordinary. Here is Jim’s review: TV/radio combo I saw at the Jewitt City Flea OK-I can't resist trying a new product (in Market over the summer. We went back in my price range). Went to my local "Shack"- it November and it was still there. So, if you want it, you know where to find it. is available at your local store. It's Clearance Priced--aka DISCONTINUED. $59.97+ tax. READ ABOUT SPe! Compared with Sony XDR-F1HD and Sangean HDT-1X using APS-13 antenna and Bob Cooper gives us an idea of how to supplied dipole. spend the winter months: Sensitivity: Just average or less, Jim Kennedy, amateur K6MIO/KH6 and Overloads a lot, even when not pointed at retired manager for Project GONG (world locals. Use of supplied dipole on FM would be monitoring network of sub-surface solar sufficient for non-DX use, still it had some measurements) from 2000>2010 has created overload in spots with dipole. seven conference papers dealing with the Selectivity: Seems OK, but could be magic of sporadic E (Es) and F layer in the because of lack of sensitivity (compared to VHF region. As of yesterday (11/22)for the Sony/ Sangean). Hard to tell because of first time all papers are available to read, overloading. It even overloaded using a download and print from www.bobcooper.tv. dipole antenna. My closest locals (50kw and When there, look left to file list and click on others) are about 7 miles west; others 10 to KH6/K6MIO. There is no better tutorial on 20 miles wnw and nw. these subjects available anywhere. Bob RDS: Has some difficulty on Syracuse Cooper in New Zealand stations that were solid on control sets--Still sensitivity related. That’s it for this month. Just a note there’s HD: Locals locked very quickly, semi finally an updated membership list in this locals up to 4-5 seconds (sensitivity again). A issue. Some will find it interesting! It was a year of re-doubled focus on our primary goal: to be an essential news source and public service to the millions of individuals who make public radio part of their daily lives. We’ve learned from our challenges and remained firm in our commitment to fact-based journalism and cultural offerings that enrich our nation. For centuries, it has linked the eastern and western regions of the Indian subcontinent, running from Bengal, across north India, into Peshawar, Pakistan. Horses, donkeys, and pedestrians compete with huge trucks, cars, motorcycles, rickshaws, and bicycles along the highway, a commercial route that is dotted with areas of activity right off the road: truck stops, farmer’s stands, bus stops, and all kinds of commercial activity.

Central Texas College District Human Resource Management Operating Policies and Procedures Manual Policy No. 720: Inclement Weather (Same as Policy No. 125 in the Safety Policies and Procedures Manual) I. PURPOSE To establish procedures for the decision and notification chain for inclement weather curtailment of CTCD operations. II. SCOPE This policy applies to Texas Campuses and to all other campuses as amended by the Campus Deans. III. POLICY CTCD does not expect its employees or students to risk personal injury in order to maintain regular operating hours. Therefore, during periods of inclement weather or threat of inclement weather, CTCD may choose to curtail or limit operations if in the view of the Chancellor, or his/her designated representative, the continuation of operations might create a significant risk of injury or illness to students or employees. Regardless of the campus decision, it remains the responsibility of the individual employee/student to assess and evaluate their situation. IV. PROCEDURES A. Chief of Police: Notifies the Executive Officers via email or text message of severe weather conditions on Central Campus no later than 5:00 a.m. on an inclement morning or during the work day that inclement weather begins. B. Executive Officers: 1. Immediately dial into the Chancellor’s conference line to discuss whether or not to close access to the campus completely or delay access until a specified time. 2. Chancellor makes the final decision. 3. Deputy Chancellor, Academic and Student Success notifies Director, Marketing & Outreach of the decision. 4.
