The book is built around three moral principles: (1) "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" (Confucius, 513 B.C.);(2) "The end does not justify the means" (Immanuel Kant, "The Critique of Judgement, Part 2"); and (3) "You reap what you sow" (The Talmud (Proverbs) Judeo-Christian Tradition). These moral principles have corollaries and counterparts in nature and interpersonal behaviors. The activities in the book explore these moral questions and work towards values clarification. The book is divided into three sections: (1) "Building the Self-Image";(2) "The Dynamics of Working in a Group"; and (3) "Leadership." Readings and activities support each topic. Dirty Pretty Things' Carl Barât Announced As Fifth Road to V Mentor
Dirty Pretty Things’ Carl Barât announced as Fifth Road to V Mentor Submitted by: onlinefire PR Wednesday, 9 April 2008 Virgin Mobile’s Road to V (http://www.roadtov.com/) in partnership with Sony Ericsson The final mentor for Virgin Mobile’s Road to V search for bands is confirmed. Song-writer, musician and DJ Carl Barât, formerly of The Libertines and current frontman of Dirty Pretty Things, is the final addition to the panel of advisers to the ‘next big thing’ in the UK’s biggest and best search for unsigned music (http://www.roadtov.com/)al talent - Road to V. The competition is now open and two bands, mentored by our very own panel of experts, will get to open the V Festival this summer, in Chelmsford and Stafford, on the 16th August. Unsigned bands (http://www.roadtov.com/) can go to www.roadtov.com and register their entry, upload their best track and tell us a bit about themselves. All the entries will then be judged by this year’s panel of music industry experts, which includes the just announced Carl Barât, Mags Revell, the promotor of V Festival, Mark Beaumont from NME, A&R man Sav Remzi and Paul Samuels from Crown Music Management. 14 bands will go through to the live stage of the competition – all of which will go on to play at either the Carling Academy in London or Liverpool, and each gig will be broadcast during the summer on Channel 4. Each judge will then give the unsigned bands (http://www.roadtov.com/) their pearls of wisdom to make it big in the music industry the viewers then decide who wins and gets the chance of a lifetime to open one of the UK’s biggest festivals. -

Intro Chris Hansen: Your Initial Thoughts on What Has
[intro Chris Hansen: Your initial thoughts on what has surfaced in the last several months on Dahvie Vanity? How do you characterize what you’ve heard and what do you think of it all? Jeffree Star: So, when I quit music, I quit everything, meaning I didn’t talk any of these people ever again, until this date. It wasn’t shocking since Dahvie’s always been horrible. I wanna answer everyone’s questions today. But I was happy that people are finally getting a voice, because back in the day I don’t think a lot of people took things like this serious. And everything that he’s been accused of, people back in the day did not take it as serious as they do now, which is so horrible. So I’m glad that things are really coming to light. At the end of the day, the goal is for him to be sitting in a prison cell, so I’m ready to dive in, you know what I mean? CH: Well, take me back to those days in the mid-to-late 2005, 2010, 2012… what was that music scene like and what was happening in it? JS: It was very punk rock and what I mean by that it was a very crass and offensive culture, whether it was electronic music or dance, we were in this- I called this the “myspace culture” cause that was kind of the timeframe. And things were just very different than how they are now. It was very rock’n’roll, we did a lot of things to be offensive and me and Dahvie first met because I believe he was a fan of me. -

Friend speaks with great House of Commons experience on these matters, as a former Defence Minister. Let me be clear with the House: this is a strategic Monday 8 June 2015 defence and security review. It is not a Treasury-led review. It is a review across the whole of government to assess the threats to our country—and the future threats The House met at half-past Two o’clock to it that may emerge; the capabilities we need to address those threats; and, of course, the resources we need to finance those capabilities. PRAYERS 19. [900134] Chris Evans (Islwyn) (Lab/Co-op): The [MR SPEAKER in the Chair] Secretary of State will know that the defence industry contains 300,000 jobs, 55,000 of which are reliant on exports. Will he guarantee that the impact on employment Oral Answers to Questions will be included in the SDSR? Michael Fallon: Absolutely.
