Salaries in this report will reflect any step increases that occurred through February 2019. Title or pay changes that occurred after February 28th or that were not in the HRIS system as of that date will not be reflected in this report. CLASSIFIED PERSONNEL are employees represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 503 and the Teamsters Union, Local 206, and temporary employees (support staff who typically work less than six months, sometimes as seasonal employees). REPORT DEFINITIONS: JOB TYPE: The type of job the employee holds. A primary job is the employee’s main job; a secondary job is an additional job; and an overload job reflects additional duties or stipends. JOB STATUS: The status of the job; active, on leave, or terminated. An active or on leave job may or may not be receiving pay; the job may be waiting to be terminated by the department. JOB START DATE: The date the job originally started. Dates before the implementation of the HR Information System in January of 1999 will reflect the date in 1998 that the existing job was established in the new system. This date is not changed when a job is reactivated after a summer leave. JOB END DATE: The date the job currently ends. This date may be extended if the job is extended. HOME DEPARTMENT: The department for the employee’s primary job. JOB TITLE: The title of the employee's job. An employee may hold more than one job and thus, may have more than one job title. PAY DEPARTMENT: The department responsible for time entry for the employee in a particular job. POSITION CLASS: A five-digit code used to tie the position to a particular classification in a salary table as defined in a collective bargaining agreement. ANNUAL SALARY RATE: The total salary amount that could be paid to the employee if the employee works full-time for the entire term of service (9 months or 12 months). APPT PERCENT: For classified employees, this term is synonymous with Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). A full-time job equals 100%; a part-time job is less than 100%. Jobs with Job Status 'A' and some cases of primary jobs with Job Status 'L' receive pay. 2. To determine estimated pay for a position, the annual salary rate must be adjusted by the appointment percent and the number of months to be worked ((Job End Date - Job Start Date)/365.25). If the Job End Date is blank, all months of the term of service (9 or 12, see above) are expected to be worked. • The Class Of
THE CLASS OF MIDYEAR COMMENCEMENT DECEMBER 19, 2020 Congratulations The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is proud of the accomplishments celebrated in today’s commencement ceremony. We recognize and applaud the determination of our graduates to complete their studies. We also recognize and appreciate the help families and friends have given to make this graduation possible. While we all would prefer the grandeur of a live, in-person commencement, we have worked hard to ensure this safe, virtual ceremony commemorates your resilience and perseverance amid a historic pandemic. The completion of a program of study is significant. It commemorates a major milestone reached while signaling unlimited opportunities for the future. It is in this spirit of hope and optimism that today we congratulate those who have now completed their studies at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Our newest graduates are an embodiment of a rich tradition of hands-on collaborative learning, academic excellence and personal growth that extends to the date the University was founded in 1871. It is this tradition that links our newest alumni with prior graduates, who are actively enriching the civic, business, charitable and political sectors of our global community. As a regional center for the celebration and promotion of knowledge, culture and innovation, our University is an integral part of the broader community. With the fresh effort and focus of today’s graduates who join us in this broader role, we envision even more opportunities that will connect our University with the region we so proudly serve. It is my honor as the 11th chancellor of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh to extend this special recognition on behalf of the faculty, staff, students and alumni of the University.
